Some of my favourite characters from one of my favourite shows. What time is it? Adventure Time!
After finishing Sunshine I'm having a bit of an artistic audit. I'm thinking about what I like and don't like about my work, and the points where I need to focus and improve. This piece was a good exercise to help get my brain thinking more analytically about my process.

Samantha Gribble is a cello player and all around crafty person. She plays cello several bands around town, such as The Dead Superhero's Orchestra, and is working towards a master's degree at DePaul. She and Rodger make an awesome team, making everything from hand-crafted plush toys and clothing from scratch to delicious homemade adventurous ice cream flavors (smoothies are the next level, asserts Rodger). Together they've launched an etsy shop where they're putting their wares on sale.

"Well Hello..." is done completely in acrylic paint and watercolor which has then been rubber cemented to some Bristol Board to give the card some strength.

Simplicity is the best way for approaching in photography. However, the trend for most cosplay photographers is over stimulating their works with special effects and post processing. I was one of them as well. Lucky for me, street photography gives quite an influence on my latest portrait work this year. I only look for one who embraces his/her personality and integrates the cosplay character together. Aurora as Princess Bubblegum is a great example. She is more as herself than going way too deep as a cartoon character. Her costume is simple yet looks super. Perfect the way she is.
