I tried to remove the lamp on the right-hand side but was not satisfied with the result. Somehow it did not look clean.

Medium rare prime rib at Co Co's

As much as I like baked potatos; tonight I decided to substitute sweet potato fries.

It turned out to be a good choice and unless you're one of those people who hates sweet potatoes, I reccomend that you give them a try.

(The flavor combination of prime rib, vegies, and fries reminded me of picking equidistant colors around a color wheel.)

#267/365 Since I didn't feel very creative, I thought I'd show you my Prime lens collection and go thru them. What's nice about my collection is most my lens are budget ($300 or less). Sorry for the unsharp image..I had to use a Sigma zoom lens since all of my primes were busy modeling.

From Left to right:

Nikon 135mm F2.8 AI-S (Manual Focus): I love that you can buy these older manual focus lens and use them with Nikon DSLRs. These old primes are sharp and cheap. I picked this one up for $140. Really nice focal length for portraits Sample Pic

Nikon 100mm F2.8 E-Series (Manual Focus): Not only is this lens sharp...look how small it is. It is about the same size as a 50mm. Fantastic Portrait lens$98 Sample Pic

Nikon 50mm 1.4D AF: I am unhappy about this lense the most. Horrible wide open in sunlight. It's also one of the few lens we purchased new for $315. Not worth it IMO. The bokeh is nice if you can avoid sunlight. Sample Pic

Nikon 50mm 1.8D AF: One of the best bargins ever. Only $100 bucks new (I paid $75). This is a no brainer if you are starting out. People complain about the bokeh pattern, but you can use it to your advantage. Sample Pic

Nikon 35mm F2 AF: My most used lens. I love this focal length on a full frame body. This also has a really close focus point. Great for 1/2 and full body portraits. Fun to use as close up for kids. $285. Sample Pic

Nikon 35mm F1.8 AF-S DX: This is a newer lens from nikon. This is a must get lens if you own a D40/D60/D3000/D5000 as it has a AF motor. It is about 45mm on a cropped body. I have used this on my D3 but I mainly got this for my small d40. Does really good, I still prefer my F2 over this. Sample Pic

Sigma 28mm F1.8 AF: This is an older sigma made back in the SLR days. This was a bargain as I picked this up for $135 bucks. Sigmas are a little iffy. The focus was off on this lens, but luckily the D300 and above has a AF fine tune feature so I was able to correct this. Sample Pic

Nikon 24mm F2.8D: This was my widest prime for the longest time. I used this lens for most of my architectural shots. $215 Sample Pic

Sigma 14mm F2.8: This is my most expensive lens. This is the wides full frame non-fish eye lens I could find without breaking the bank...$550. As you can see from my recent shot I'm really getting a kick out of it. I bought this for Architectural shots, but the extremly close focal range makes it fun for all sorts of things. Sample Pic

There you have it. My next lens is probalby something between 85mm-105mm auto focus. I love my 2 manual focus lens, but it is not idea when you have to capture moving subjects. (I'll proof read all I just wrote in the morning to correct any errors as I know there are many)

They are such a beautiful bird in spring; by late summer they lose all their feathers and look very different as they grow new feathers. He is on a Japanese Maple tree limb right beside my porch chair where I was sitting and if you enlarge you can get a good look at his coloring with the black and red. He has raised his family in this tree for the last 2 years so I get a good view of the activity.

The Italian bee (Apis mellifera ligustica SPINOLA, 1806) is the world's most popular subspecies of honey bees. Originally from northern Italy and Sicily was formed by surviving the era of glaciation.

It is a bee much appreciated by beekeepers because it has proven to be adaptable to most climates from subtropical to temperate, even though it has proved less suitable for humid tropical climates.

Me in the bolts

Like Prime's truck mode, this isn't transformable in anyway. It's just a box on wheels, really. But is sure does help the truck mode feel more complete.

A roe deer buck in its prime years. I saw him standing in a field very close to the backroad i was driving on. So i approached him slowly and came to stop only some couple yards away, surprised to see me he stood still for some seconds before jumping away, enough time to get some nice shots, the warm evening light adds some extra mood! The theme of the week is "Prime" and since the moderators gave us some latitude on how to define the theme - I took it. This is the first time we've gone camping as a family (hence the PRIME-ary camping trip).

Interesting degree of difficulty here... its our first time camping (as I mentioned) in a brand new large 10-man tent (which I didn't bother to heed advice of other campers and have a trial set-up at home) in a downpour of rain in the mountains. That being said - we got it done and the four of us high-fived our accomplishment. (took us about an hour)

I also brought a tall pop up tent so we could put it over the fire-pit and still have a raging fire in the rain - gotta have a fire..

I took this picture of Myra, Zack and Drew (you can see them in the tent) after the rain slowed down in the night..
