Along the Rideau Canal Locks, these life preservers are hung as a "just in case", should anyone think about going for a dip.

Marveling from the paved, steady incline at Makapu‘u,
Away in the fathomless depths of the sea,
Kilometers from the serrated edges of the tide pool rocks,
Await the humpback whales migrating to the warm waters of the
Pacific, as they do every year,
Under their own ambitions; it is their nature.
Unaware of their observers, preservers, and predators, they breach.
This mug was designed to preserve the mustache of the men as they drank. How cool is that!

A friend has determined that we should be tourists in our own city, and take in local museums and landmarks. We began with the Dalnavert Museum, which is the house in which John A. MacDonald's son lived.
