I am calling this a postmodern kimchi concept.
Something about how I grew a garden (modest) but still eat this freeze dried ramen crap from lord knows where and when.
I have several more of this and then another subject that was the first inspiration.
Is postmodern a good term here? Is there a more apropo term?
This photo shows 2 Powhattan Avenue, a Postmodern style house in Bernal Heights, San Francisco, that was built about 1999. The building at the right, 5 Wool Street, was built approximately 90 years earlier (according to city records).
I started visiting the 100 London buildings illustrated in Charles Jencks "Postmodern Triumphs in London"
Some do not exist anymore. This is one that survived.

I've spent 4 days and evenings at this UofA Hospital caring for an older loved one. My Dad was in there in 2017 so 7 years ago. Still a good effort by all healthcare staff involved but wow...dark days in Alberta. Still love the sunrises in that hospital tho.

SkyPoint is a 361 ft (110 m) high rise in Tampa, Florida. It was constructed from 2005 to 2007 and has 33 floors. The Preston Partnership, LLC along with Echelon Engineering, LLC designed the building, which is the 9th tallest building in Tampa. It has 380 Residential units spread across 25 levels sitting atop seven levels of enclosed parking. The ground floor houses 10,800 square feet (1,000 m2) of retail space.
Separating the parking levels from the residential is a large amenity deck that houses a 4,000 square feet (370 m2) clubhouse, a 2,500 square feet (230 m2) fitness center, a media room and lounge, as well as a large landscaped terrace and swimming pool. Skypoint is composed of cast-in-place concrete in conjunction with post-tensioned cables. Concrete strengths range from 5,000 pounds per square inch (34,000 kPa) at typical residential floors up to 10,000 pounds per square inch (69,000 kPa) at the ground level columns and shearwalls. Just before its grand opening to residents, William “Wild Bill” Stroup BASE-jumped off the building on March 6, 2007.

Having recently got a book on Postmodern architecture in Britain, it's given me plenty of inspiration for new places to seek out as it's a movement in architecture that I find really interesting.
This is the Isle Of Dogs Pumping Station, designed by John Outram. Like many of the interesting buildings in London, it's located a fair way off the beaten track. It's also pretty challenging to photograph. This was taken poking my massive Canon 17mm tilt-shift lens through a gap in the gate which was only just wide enough ...

If I knew what 'post modern' meant, this may have been better, but in these books the characters live within other books. The bottom title gives you a clue as to some. They're also a really good left of field read. (If you like Douglas Adams, you'll probably like these.)

21/07/2010 UPDATE Guess where I'm off to today...look for some cool aerials of the Strip at night. my hotel has quite good views apparently.
Sometimes, as you walk along the Las Vegas strip, you can't see where one culture ends and another starts, depth is meaningless because of the scale of things, and it all becomes an overwhelming swirl of images and ideas.
However, this kiss was emblematic of what is permanent and meaningful. It jumped out at me like a beacon, and i tried to frame it with as much of the cacaphony as I could fit in the frame.
By the way, this is straight out of the camera pretty much. I added a little framing treatment.
