Sometimes I like to fiddle around with old posters. I like to cut out parts of them and I like to clean them up. I like to perhaps change the background or some colors. I like removing text that covers the artwork. I guess it's a way of training myself in Photoshop and not least it's therapeutic. All or almost all of the posters I've been messing up I've found at the excellent site: www.wrongsideoftheart.com/
This poster is a call for Americans to start working together instead of arguing. The rancor in Washington is slowing our progress to a standstill. Be sure to take a look at our other posters. Digital high res downloads are free here. Other options are available.
This is a scan of a wedding invitation mini-poster that I just finished designing and screenprinting for Sarah Wert, a girl I went to college with. She lives in San Francisco now but contacted me because she remembered my work and thought I'd be a good match for what she wanted: a fun little poster in the spirit of fair and circus posters, inviting people to a very unique "destination" wedding set at her family's farm in the rolling hills of eastern Pennsylvania.
The next bunch of photos documents some of the process and how we arrived at this final poster, from research images to sketching and lettering, composition and color mockups in photoshop, and finally screenprinting in my spare bedroom with my newly-acquired screenprinting equipment (purchased for this job, but I will be doing more in the near future!).
So I am designing some ad material for this show I help produce as a fundraiser. This I shot in hopes of creating a poster from it, but I have yet to produce any ideas that I like when adding text.....
Let me know what you think.
Todo mundo já fez um poster praquele prêmio do MCB. Claro que eu não ganhei, mas acho que esse ficou bem legal.

Following on From Luna... Just really nice typography on this poster from the team that worked on those films. This poster would cost you around £240 I think... so I cleaned it up myself.
All 5 Brevard County stores completed the transition on November 2, 1988.
(the design of the "store" is really a SuperX store.)
Re-make of a 1900 match box poster design for Intro to Computing! It's the same design as the original. I don't know the original artist, but here is the link!

The new site is live now!! It still needs lots of work, and there are a few missing links, etc. that I'll be fixing over the next few days. But, whew. :-)
A poster for the movie Inception.
The image is made of cutouts stacked behind one another and photographed to create depth.
Classwork.
