I'm currently working on a gouache tutorial where I'll be teaching simple paintings done in a poster-art style.
Rhapsody is almost here! A music filled event representing 8 distinctive genres of music to inspire creators. But some of our creators inspired us... and here is one of many artist/band posters inspired by their genres and the lovely people in them.

A strange mix of cult-like end of the world posters proclaiming Jesus is coming soon, and a lost cat notice in the middle. I love finding strange stuff like this randomly in the city. I normally avoid shooting pattern shots since they tend to be boring, but the disjointed Jesus posters with the cat notice standing out of place makes this much more interesting then a straight pattern.
Shot Spring 2019 in downtown Toronto. Camera used was a Konica C35 with Kentmere 400 film developed in HC-110.

I love photographing layered and torn posters, but sometimes posters torn off a wall are equally interesting. Shot this in an alley in SF Chinatown, Canon SureShot Max + Kodak Tri-X 400 Film.

My editing program has a slider called "Posterize."
I did not slide it to the max, but pretty close. I kind of like the result.
I also like it that Sliders Sunday prompts me to produce new kinds of images.
