this is just one of a bazillion beautiful scenes to behold at The Flower of Scotland. Read about it here on The SLuggle.
the title of the picture I thought should come from Scotland's Robert Burns, and it's from a lovely love poem called Composed in August which you can find here.
“I inhale loneliness like it is the sweet smell of virgin earth conquered by fiery rain drops. Within me, I'm a thousand others.
~Faraaz Kazi
I took this at Pitt Addington Marsh on our walk in the rain....you can see the raindrops in the water here.

From whom I learnt this concept, that now I use my own way 😅😊

Tundra swan on a misty winter morning.
I've been laid-up lately with back spasms. This has really cramped my ability to get out and take photos! Probably been close to 3 weeks now :-( It's gotten old, just like the rest of me.
So Sparklebottom took a photo of me and while she was arranging everything she was, of course, not standing still at all. Because, does she ever? :)
Look at her go!

His horse he saddled and bridled,
And into the night rode he,
Now through the great black woodland,
Now by the white-beached sea.

Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.
~Rumi
You were a fire, one that burned,
But in your ashes I've learned.
You demanded pieces of my soul,
The thrill turned toxic and out of control.
Jealousy flared, impatience grew,
I never knew the weight of secrets before you.
~ Poem by Bellaswan Garnet
When someone is inspired to create a Poem, he/she is uplifted!!
When someone is uplifted, he/she is temporarily found in a very original, private, personal world of Beauty (or not…), inspiration, and refinement, extreme pleasure (or not…). He/she feels strong emotions and sensations, while creating his/her poem; a huge creativity!!
Poetry in Nature is the creation of Mother Nature’s upliftment!! Which creates enchantment, creativity and inspiration in certain humans..
Lake Genval in Autumn is a Pure Poetry!
When evening shadows fall,
She hangs her cares away
Like empty garments on the wall
That hides her from the day;
And while old memories throng,
And vanished voices call,
She lifts her grateful heart in song
When evening shadows fall.
James Whitcomb Riley

And it was at that age... Poetry arrived
in search of me. I don’t know, I don’t know where
it came from, from winter or a river.
I don’t know how or when,
no, they were not voices, they were not
words, nor silence,
but from a street I was summoned,
from the branches of night,
abruptly from the others,
among violent fires
or returning alone,
there I was without a face
and it touched me.
(Pablo Neruda)

“The poetry of the earth is never dead.” -John Keats
I’ve learned to cherish wilderness, which wasn’t always the case. Growing up around it made me take it for granted. Now, I realize how much a life outdoors is a life well lived. I always feel better after getting a dose of nature.
The last day of summer was a perfect, mild day in the low 70’s. Autumn announced itself with gusto, dropping the temps to the 50’s the next day. Quite the entrance!
This adult male Broad-tailed Hummingbird was a joy to see and photograph. Another first... They do migrate, but in the Western parts of the U.S. This was one of eight different adult male hummingbirds that I had the privilege to see while in Arizona.
"Flowers -- Well -- if anybody
Can the ecstasy define --
Half a transport -- half a trouble --
With which flowers humble men:
Anybody find the fountain
From which floods so contra flow --
I will give him all the Daisies
Which upon the hillside blow."
- Emily Dickinson
