Plenty of standing water on the south head path in Wick, Caithness, on the morning of Friday 6/12/2024. The view out to sea just before sunrise.

Plenty of sheep in Cumbria! They've a certain 'comical' quality about them - the one at the back looks like it's having a chuckle.

Plenty of bees in the garden at Chirk Castle. I think this flower might be some sort of scabious but I haven't seen one that colour before

An 'arty' rather than 'action' shot this time.

Direct sunlight behind the subject made shooting quite tricky at times, but I quite liked the effect in this one.

Plenty more dolphin shots here if you are interested.

Space House, One Kemble Street, Holborn. Designed by architects Richard Seifert & Partners and completed in 1968.

At the time of taking this photo, the building was in the final stages of a major refurbishment by architects Squire & Partners which has added two additional floors.

With 4 out of 5 locos on line, GL106, GL102, 1104, 1445 and 1108 make their way down the Cullerin Range with 4SM7 cement to Melbourne. There was no shortage of power on this train with it easily making it's way up the grades that followed.

There was still plenty snow on the mountains as I drove out to Cluanie. We have had a harsh winter and the road surfaces are in poor repair. I took this picture from just above Loch Cluanie.

May rain collateral benefit - plenty of mushrooms!

To me, Batteries are little metal things that I have to buy to make my best toys work - most importantly, my camera.

They can be dangerous things if they leak their acid out.

They can be expensive, they can be inexpensive, but they are absolutely necessary.

All in all, I (for one) need plenty of them in my life.

I look forward every summer to seeing and hearing a pair of these across the street from us, nesting in a very tall & thick group of pine trees, There has been a pair there for many years. It's on the river where they fish, or the lake behind us. So, they have plenty to eat. I keep waiting for man to cut down their nesting trees, or someone to shoot the birds. Because that's what man does. Kills everything.

Plenty of leaves blowing about on a warm windy autumn day in Montreal.

On a beautiful Sunday, my bleeding hearts for you bloom,

Petals dripping with the crimson of love's consuming fire,

Each beat of my heart echoing the ache of desire,

A symphony of longing in the quiet of this afternoon.

In the garden of my soul, you are the tender seed,

Rooted deep within, your presence a sweet melody,

Whispering through the breeze, a gentle harmony,

My bleeding hearts for you, a love that will not recede.

The sun shines brightly, illuminating our connection,

A bond forged in the flames of passion and affection,

I offer my bleeding hearts as a testament to our devotion,

In this moment, on this day, I surrender to this affection.

So let the world fade away, let time stand still,

As my bleeding hearts beat for you, unyielding and real,

On this beautiful Sunday, in the embrace of your love,

I am complete, whole, and free as the skies above.

Lamprocapnos spectabilis, bleeding heart or Asian bleeding-heart, is a species of flowering plant belonging to the fumitory subfamily (fumarioideae) of the poppy family Papaveraceae, and is native to Siberia, northern China, Korea, and Japan. It is the sole species in the monotypic genus Lamprocapnos, but is still widely referenced under its old name Dicentra spectabilis (now listed as a synonym), not to be confused with the North American native bleeding heart plants also classified under Dicentra. It is valued in gardens and in floristry for its heart-shaped pink and white flowers, borne in spring.

Other common names include lyre flower, heart flower, and lady-in-a-bath.

It is a Macro shot of a small kind of pomegranates, not the usual edible fruit.

Plenty of spiders webs this morning and this was one of several hanging in my Buddliea bush......Please note it has been turned 90* and was originaly upright.

I loved this wall covered in notice boards... looks like a vibrant village with plenty going on.

HBM!

During my first trip to Montana it was easy to see why this state has earned the nickname Big Sky. Amazingly grand and plenty of open unspoiled spaces, I can’t wait until I can go back!

This image was taken at the end of day just out side of Ronan Montana.

House sparrows are plenty in Ooty

Plenty of room to sit...if you bring a shovel.

A couple of snowy benches in downtown Red Wing, MN next to the historic Sheldon Theatre.

We haven't had snow in Nottingham this year but we've had plenty of mist and fog.

Captured during a lunch time stroll with my wife it was 'pea soup' time. It's a phrase used for the days where you can't see more than a few feet ahead. I have no idea of the origins of that expression.

This is Victoria Embankment with it's views of the River Trent. Or on this day only partial views! I quite liked the narrow boat and the winter tree silhouette reflections.

I've done very little to this shot, a straight forward monochrome conversion. It's exactly how it appeared.

Thank you for all of the faves and comments, they are always greatly appreciated.

October is right around the corner, and that means you better start thinking about what your going to wear to all the costume parties. Check out Salem, your one-stop-event to grab all your dark, dreary and haunted decor and fashion items. But don’t worry if spooky isn’t your scene – there are plenty of items that are not grotesque.

Salem hits the grid just in time for Halloween. The event is designed to evoke the tenor of the 1692 witch trials and has over 100 venders. Dive into Salem’s Macabre Market and connect with artisans across the grid, selling autumn and Halloween-themed goods. Or if you dare, try your luck in the Gacha Gallows. Salem runs September 29 – October 31 and promises to bewitch you!
