Due to the amount of awards and comments, I can't thank everyone individually, so I'm doing it here.

Laugna beach...:))

Another image of the Great Sand Dune National Park, taken soon after I crossed the Surge Flow.

Due to the detour (road closure) that delayed us by 3 hours, the sun was about to go below the dunes when we got there.

No epic golden colors here, just light and plenty of shadows; nevertheless, I'm happy with the few images that I got, and they are far better than the ones I took from the first visit in Sep 2019 - the early afternoon sun was flat and boring! 😉

The northeast region is having a heatwave, it's hot and humid ; oh "joy" of a hotter planet!

Have a fun-filled day, my dear Flickr friends!

Lake Tarawera, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand.

I'm going to the coast in the morning, sort of a mini vacation, so I thought I would leave you with something peaceful. I've been wanting to make this trip for some time and now it's finally here. I hope to come back with plenty of seagull, pelican and boat images..;) I won't be gone lone and I may be able to check in while I'm gone. Hopefully, I'll have to much to do..;)

My theme for 2016 is: 52 months in a year...beginning with June of 2006.

Plenty of tea because this is today's forecast across my region (we are under severe storm watches also):

🔥Ring Of Fire Pattern Continues⚡️

Excessive heat and humidity is expected today with high temperatures in the lower 90s (32 C) across the region with heat indices of 100° F+ (37+ C) possible in some locations! Stay cool and hydrated, and limit outdoor exertion for extended periods of time if you can!

Coreopsis and pals looking happy in the wildflower patch

On my way home from a nice day in the snow up at Mount Field National Park, I was suspecting a decent sunset as the clouds built up. So I pulled up near Plenty and there was a wonderful sky. However there was no foreground interest anywhere and after photographing the sky only I felt like I'd missed an opportunity. The glow in the sky persisted, although at a lesser ambiance. So after seeing this tree I pulled up and set up the tripod. It was so pleasant with a lovely spring smell in the air and the steady background noise of the cicadas which suggested a balmy evening. Then a car passed by breaking the solitude but sending me off home very happy.

Plenty more to share yet!

Just missing some clouds. The extremes of Iceland. We had plenty of snow over night and this beautiful day.

Zebra Finch (Taeniopygia guttata) male

And just as well they were making some noise or I would have missed them. Lovely to see them back at Sneydes Rd. this morning.

Public Sculpture and Fountains

You can always guarantee when you visit a city for the first time, there will always be plenty of public works. I like to seek them out, where ever possible. I’m amazed at the quantity, the scale, the quality and sometimes, just the sheer irresponsibility of corporate bodies in their quest to spend our money. How did the 10cc put it? “Art for Arts’ sake”. However mostly I like what I see, hope you do too.

As you will see all of the images in this posting come from Rome. What a beautiful City.

……All aboard, plenty of room for everyone, no previous experience necessary for this trip, past Doom Bar you might be lucky & see Dolphins!! Well its Jolly Friday - the W/End is in sight, have a great one, stay locked down and cosy to stay safe and to keep EVERYONE else safe too! A VERY BIG THANK YOU to ALL the key workers who are carrying on to benefit the rest of us - we applaud you all. Alan;-)👏👏👏👏👏
