The modern face of the redeveloped Place Rogier, Bruxelles with the Albert I Hotel 1929 (now the Hilton) and the Palace Hotel 1929 (now the Crowne Plaza) preserved. Place Rogier is named after the former prime Minister of Belgium, Charles Latour Rogier.

This was an unexpected little viewpoint hidden behind a hedgerow which I happened across whilst walking between Portinscale and Keswick in the Lake District.

Continuing with Birds in the Rain, here's three female House Sparrows (Passer domesticus) sheltering under the leaves of a plant in a pot! Clever birds!

I've been messing around with different post processing techniques again and came across this video tutorial on youtube. Mingled with moody lighting, I was really pleased with the outcome from trying it out. I'd love your feedback below. ♥

Der Legende nach sollen in früheren Zeiten am Wildweibchenstein zwei wilde Kräuterweiblein in einer Höhle am Fuße des Felsens gehaust haben. Sie wagten sich häufiger bis zum Ortsrand Laubenau und erbaten sich Brot oder andere Dinge. Die Bauern, die sie unterstützten, fanden am Folgetag zur Belohnung silberne Löffel in ihrer Schublade. Allerdings beschäftigte die Leute am meisten der seltsame Spruch, den die Weiber des öfteren sagten: „Wenn die Bauern wüssten, zu was die wilden weißen Heiden und die wilden weißen Selben gut sind, dann könnten sie mit silbernen Karsten hacken!“

 

Wer mag kann sich auf die intensive Mystik dieses Ortes einlassen.

 

Der Wildweibchenstein liegt im Odenwald nicht weit von Laudenau
