Niagara Falls fountain at Disneyland Hotel. It's a placeholder photo for when my photography skills improve. I'm addicted to the colors, silhouettes, and water. Any suggestions are appreciated.
A placeholder for the start of this casters stream I did as a test. Took the starting letters (DVL) and made a duck out of it. I really like how it all came out.
Where does the space start? Where does it end? Since this is the only placeholder on the block, why don't this guy's neighbors have a word with him?
The broken windows theory definitely applies to the placeholders. One jagoff tries to claim an indeterminate spot and pretty soon everyone else feels the need to follow.
What I especially don't get is that it's permit parking....
I'm still not over my shyness with taking pictures in public with my DSLR. I went to an Osgoode Hall Law School Reception at FMC downtown tonight and would have loved to have some photos to remember it.

in Graphic Design and elsewhere you need a placeholder, to keep or make place for something later added... I wanted a nice placeholder man who keeps a place free, everywhere I want...
Add more soon!

The empty facade of a building that's all but torn down, awaiting a shiny new skyscraper in its place
Started snowing and not a couple hours later, some jagoff was out there putting milk crates in the street. Because he obviously spent all night shovelling the spot out.
Note the sign taped up to the tree. See "This is a PUBLIC STREET."
... or just a wax museum found on the first floor of the oriental pearl tower in Shanghai showcasing historical primitive methods to curl hair.
Not necessarily a placeholder, but maybe a reverse placeholder. This scooter had been parked in the same spot (and uncovered!) for weeks (you can tell by the snow - it's been the better part of a week since the last snow) and between getting damned cold and the city not plowing the streets...people weren't looking forward to spending more time parking than necessary.
Especially on this street, where I suppose someone got home, found a half-space and decided to make it fit his car - by putting the scooter up on the curb.
