The crust was perfect even though we don't have a pizza stone. I preheated an upside down half-sheet pan, and made the dough on a Silpat that was on another upside down half sheet. After topping I slid the pizza and the Silpat onto the tray already in the oven.
Back in April, I shot a series for Postmates. It evolved over a few weeks based on a couple ideas I pitched. But eventually, it became a way to showcase different “At Home” themes paired with various types of food.
Our daughter took a pizza with mushrooms and ham.

My pizza is better than your pizza! Homemade dough with red peppers and onions pressed in the top, covered in sauce, cheese, Italian sausage, more onions, and a few anchovies. Mmmmm, now I'm hungry again.
It was too hot to grill outside the other night, so I made a pizza. Go figure.
That green stuff is the basil that I've been growing on my deck all summer...am I "sustainable" or what?
