Pip was having his morning fuss sitting on my wife's knee, when he spotted me approaching with a camera. This is the one and only shot I took. "Profile Portrait"... "Smile on Saturday"...
But more often than not, she won't…
As mentioned before, this girl's a little camera shy..
As the weeks go by, she might get better at this modelling stuff.
Already she's devising even more evasive tricks.
This is the simplest ploy, just looks away ;)
Btw, I actually had some other pics that were on the candid side and a bit of a chuckle, spent time on a story to post but they were moving shots and the focus was a bit candid too.
So we just snapped off a few more this arvo and hoped for something better quality.. and this one shows another part of her personality.. will post the others soon anyway…and just scraped in before the 3/52 deadline…*phew*...
Pip was emerging from the bright "Lady's Mantle", which formed a perfect match with her gorgeous yellow eyes.
Part of the exhibition of sculptures by Jason Wilsher-Mills at Yorkshire Sculpture Park. Jason is a disabled advocate for access and rights and PIP here refers to Personal Independence Payments, payments made to disabled people here in the UK. Their introduction, replacing Disability Living Allowances for most people has been difficult and controversial. Jason's sculptures are very positive and colourful. The tattoo-like painting refers to his childhood, when he was paralysed from the neck down; his mum would paint on his face as this was something he could feel.
Pips. Her fascinations and, well, obsessions, require great patience.
Already a skilled and accomplished lizard seeker and stealthy stalker.
Almost moving like a pray mantis ... slowly, slowly edging closer…
Here she is now, waiting, waiting.
Just for the next glimpse of Mama Possum.
On our friends' front veranda, pieces of fresh, sweet fruit sit high up on a shelf.
Even some of Pips' kibble. But she doesn't mind.
If it brings Possie out, it's all worth it.
Pips is a dedicated possum watcher.
More waiting..
"Pip, Pip" is what a broad-tail hummingbird makes when he's warning another bird away from his territory. They are felicity protective of their territories. This is at Cherry Creek State Park, Colorado.
Spending the week at my parents, Pip and three others dolls came along. Time to do some nice photoshoots of my girls.
Whenever she can, Pip tries to cuddle down in a garden chair with a cushion. When the back cushion covers her, that's merely a bonus. She only granted me a single shot when I spotted her like this.
April brought him downstairs over Christmas, he wasn't playing ball, kept charging at me as usual, would not stay far enough away to get him all in, Pip our family pet, a Pineapple Green Cheek Conure.
Hiya' folks.
Here's the next Pip-Verse Justice League member I have for you, none other than the blue-boy himself, Superman!
So, for some reason I really like Superman with a beard and longer hair. Honestly, it probably wouldn't look as good if it wasn't in minifigure form...
What else I did was go for some darker tones and add a bunch of golden highlights. That, in addition to his epaulets and skirt/robe-thing, made me see him as some sort of royal figure, which led to the creation of his Pip-Verse backstory.
Backstory:
So, it's still kind of sketchy and I don't feel like writing a whole fancy story, so I'll just explain what I got.
I'm thinking he came from Krypton to Earth as a sort of Ambassador and ends up liking it there. But then Zod comes to take it over and you get a Kree Vs. Mar-vell situation. So, the big difference is Superman came as an adult, not a child. Also, him and Batman probably fight or something. :P
Also, I just want to quickly say thank you to all the commenters and the support you've been giving me lately, I really appreciate it! I enjoy making these and you guys encourage me to do the best I can!
Well the decision is in.
I looked at all the pics of Pips I had tonight and decided, between my two girls, she deserves to be my model for our first year in the group 52 Weeks for dogs.
She's the one who sticks to my side, always comes a-running when called, learns the little tricks, always overflowing with enthusiasm for everything, the quickest and the most loyal.
It will be an interesting journey to do with her as she hasn't exactly loved being in front of the camera, but when she is, there has been the most surprises out of my two girls.
this spider was in my daughters room so she caught it and brought it to me for a photo!
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
Had the pleasure of shooting this cool fella yesterday at my home. An over 50 model who got noticed walking through university, the world seems to have opened up for him and he's getting offers from all corners of the globe right now!
