Made the trip to NYC for the 2014 pdn PHOTOPLUS show. Everything from soup to nuts is on display and being demonstrated for all types of photographers. In addition to the show itself, there are, for a fee, conferences. My free tickets were for the "expo" only.
There even was a body painting demonstration going on.

Whilst I use the free version of Picnik for basic editing (I love its cross-processing effect, for example, and use vignettes more than you might think), Serif PhotoPlus 8.0 is my weapon of choice when it comes to serious editing. I know it's old (and it's certainly clunky) but it was cheap and I think I've pretty much sussed out how most of it works now. The important bits, anyway :-)
So, here it is; my Flickr Station for The Rogues. Flickr itself is one of the minimised windows at the bottom of the screen. And, yes, my desk really is that messy. Messier, usually.
As you can see, this is a multiple self-portrait. For the Fuggers, the image I'm editing features nonchalant tooth-brushing; a picture I took today.
Oh, and it features a bonus, live, picture of Catherine.

A year ago today I was with a lime.
Everything done in Serif Photoplus x4. No actions or any add-on filters. Photos taken with a Canon XTi and Sigma 70-200mm 2.8 lens.
Used cutout studio and did many layers of processing. Text tool with layer effects. Background created with plasma and gradient mask.

reminisces and rememberances (as i type) of a school lesson, a book of poems by a well respected man who had a part in the downfall of another and his mates- .. the lesson was an English lesson, the teacher- was young, just qualified, and i was very like now experiencing similar but different behaviour - tough times for vunerable people and based on the resultant fear, ignorance and deliberate stalling... which ironically such people at times "they no not what they do ... ".. and "hesitation" is from a different source and has another disability reference -a sort of counter - label thing ... meanwhile back at the shed... i'll twang a bit of a noise that isn't and for "Y" -because they want to , or did and continue.. new surroundings .. an old black plastic thing is but a "missing space" where "thinking had become impossible" and presenting "donkee" and Spike was a failure to recognise .. but the poem fantastic (i was indebted for being the opportunity to read)... a steal - yes! ..and the enjoyment of "the Ancient Mariner" was enjoyable to me .. and the good fair lady teacher had a learning curve at a time where just after "straw hats" was at least (the copy i saw (80's) - a later "funny" that continues without stalling and brewing in a contrived thoughtless way... donkeys / cross / straw... finally...? "But ..Y"... (echoes "-how many parts... "a "Meddle" bonus perhaps...or Pompeii" directed ... until the "final cut" -lyrics which i associate with my fair lady... E.B-"Y?" ..and to Q12? definately maybe? ..a Beady Eye? "Aerial"? An island... chess? how is it? "Y" honesty the best policy ..but "When? and "who?" and "Y" is the Q42- Aslan is coming.. "Y" - do u think? ..and it makes me Wonder? 51% , 256 grey Q's of "Y?" ... yours Niloc.. (from "the begining to the end of the begining.. and then..."Y?")... "is that it?" a poodle, a red round wheeled dog toy... and a fool _(2 endings "& his money or sing, fool, dance fool, live fool, die fool.. dealer always wins -a fool's game... donkee .. a hill climbed like a mountain and a lion.. told by visiting/passing friends... and a darker fur but still there (with a few differing varieties) ... a donkey, like the rest of nature, planet etc is not hurried, "why worry now?"...
