... and for my birthday I share again with you the link of my first album "Inside Sea" released two weeks ago. Enjoy ! whisperedlabel.bandcamp.com/album/inside-sea
A child's rhyme stuck in my head
It said that life is but a dream
I've spent so many years in question
To find I've known this all along
So good to see you
I've missed you so much
So glad it's over
I've missed you so much
Came out to watch you play
Why are you running away?
Came out to watch you play
Why are you running?
Shrouding all the ground around me
Is this holy crow above me
Black as holes within a memory
And blue as our new second sun
I stick my hand into his shadow
To pull the pieces from the sand
Which I attempt to reassemble
To see just who I might have been
I do not recognize the vessel
But the eyes seem so familiar
Like phosphorescent desert buttons
Singing one familiar song
So good to see you
I've missed you so much
So glad it's over
I've missed you so much
Came out to watch you play
Why are you running away?
Came out to watch you play
Why are you running away?
Prying open my third eye
An old one from a night with a wonderful sunset, when I just felt the need to lie on a rock and be lulled to sleep, bathing in the warm glow of nature. Can I Sleep In Your Arms is by Phosphorescent on my playlist.
"Pacific fury flashing on rocks that rise like gloomy sea shroud towers out of the cove, the bingbang cove with its seas booming inside caves and slapping out, the cities of seaweed floating up and down you can even see their dark leer in the phosphorescent seabeach nightlight." (Big Sur by Jack Kerouac)
Bixby Creek Bridge, also known as Bixby Bridge, on the Big Sur coast of California, is one of the most photographed bridges on the West Coast due to its pleasing aesthetic design and because of its location along the scenic Central Coast of California, and has frequently been used in automobile commercials. It is a reinforced concrete open-spandrel arch bridge. The bridge is 120 miles (190 km) south of San Francisco and 13 miles (21 km) south of Carmel in Monterey County along State Route 1 (also, US 101 or Cabrillo Highway).
Prior to the opening of the bridge in 1932, residents of the Big Sur area were virtually cut off during winter due to the often impassable Old Coast Road that led 11 miles (18 km) inland. At its completion, the bridge was built under budget for $199,861 (equivalent to $3.5 million in 2015) and was the longest concrete arch span at 320 feet (98 m) on the California State Highway System. It is one of the tallest single-span concrete bridges in the world. (from Wikipedia)
I thought I'd make a change from reflective landscapes, and I've never been able to resist lichens, even though they look best after rain, and we haven't had any in a week up here. A New Anhedonia is by Phosphorescent. It's been a great week full of old beautiful memories and we've been so lucky with the weather. Back down to South Wales via a night in the Lakes staying with my brother.
What's up?
Lyin' on the beach and the hot sun (yeah hot)
Yeah, I want you
If you have forgotten how to have fun (c'mon)
Well, I'll show you
You rich and I'm wishin' um
You could be my mister, yum
Delicious to the maximum
Chew you up like bubble gum
You love me, He wants me
I think I want you too
You can be my daddy tonight, night, night..
I'm neon phosphorescent open like a Christmas present, now
You can be my daddy tonight, night, night
If you're seeking heaven
Then you wanna come and get it, get it
You can be my daddy tonight, night, night..
I'm neon phosphorescent, open like a Christmas present, now
You can be my daddy tonight, night, night
If you're seeking heaven
Then you wanna come and get it alright.. Be my daddy tonight
I see you shining bright with your gold chain on (so bright)
Drinking with your crew (yeah)
I give you one look and you now that it's on (it's on)
Yes you do
He's rich and I'm kissin' him, magical musician
How we drivin' through the cinema, taste like sugar cinnamon
Hey baby (wha?)
Come take me (wha?)
I'll go anywhere with you (yeah)
You can be my daddy tonight, night, night..
I'm neon phosphorescent open like a Christmas present, now
You can be my daddy tonight, night, night..
If you're seeking heaven
Then you wanna come and get it, get it
You can be my daddy tonight, night, night
I'm neon phosphorescent, open like a Christmas present, now
You can be my daddy tonight, night, night
If you're seeking heaven
Then you wanna come and get it alright.
Be my daddy tonight
What's up?
Sitting on your lap singing you my song
Ooh, ooh, ooh
Gotta lollipop
I could give you some
I'll fuck you... <3
You can be my daddy tonight, night, night
I'm neon phosphorescent, open like a Christmas present, now
You can be my daddy tonight, night, night..
What's up?
Be my daddy
Be my daddy
Be my daddy
Be my, be my daddy tonight
No waves to speak of and high tide, meant I had to look for what to take. The deeps at Ogmore have such interesting rock formations and inlets, , and the sea was rushing in and out of this channel at the back of the platform. I had fun playing with long exposures, and prefer this black and white version. Permanently lonely seems to refer to all my beach visits, and is by Phosphorescent on my playlist.
The third and final photo from our Kayaking trek. I would like to see this one at night because much of the green and yellow in the water is phosphorescent; some of the yellow is pollen. It would be fun to try and photograph the algae that lights up in the dark. Either way, this shot is from the water looking toward land in a narrow inlet. And, after 3 hours my shoulders were sore from the paddling and thankful for a wonderful day.
It's not been the best of weeks for seascapes, with clear blue skies, so this is a shot from earlier in the year. I'm usually alone on the beach so Permanently lonely by Phosphorescent is as good a title as any.
A wonderful calm walk along the Afon Mellte, on the quiet side of the valley led me to this tranquil spot. A place to reflect and take in the beauty of nature. The arms of the falls were wrapped around me . Can I sleep in your arms is covered by Phosphorescent on my playlist.
I'd just missed this wonderful sky at sunrise, but went down to the coast an hour later to see it light up the coast. I loved the wind pruned hawthorns, and the headlands receding into a golden dawn. This track was playing while I was uploading it, and is by Phosphorescent. I don't think I'll ever tire of this coast though, so no New Anhedonia for me yet.
The beach is always where I feel safe and close to all I cherish. It always provides beautiful glimpses and memories. Can I sleep in your arms , is a version by Phosphorescent on my playlist.
After an afternoon of having fun making arches , I'd waited what seemed like hours for the sun to set, hoping for a great sunset, but I lost patience and wandered back. The sky did colour up later so I should have stayed. The Party's Over is by Phosphorescent on my playlist.
A charm/A blade is a great track by Phosphorescent, and is as good a title as any for this symmetry of drainage on sand refection. It looks a bit like it's been sliced with a blade. You can just about tell that it's reflected cliffs and sky. Another great night playing as the sun sets.

Pick up the tempo is a track on my playlist by Phosphorescent, and the wind was certainly doing just that!! the foam from the surf line had been picked up and blown across the wet sand to all corners!!! It's the only thing that gives you a sense of how windy it was!!
The famous view of Oia after sunset, often seen under clear skies, this one was taken in the rain under an umbrella, the original image was phosphorescent blue as per my Canon 6D result using auto white balance, I had to add tons of red and decrease tons of blue, then add green to shadows, and subtract some more blue from the highlights to make it more like what I saw.

About 14km north of Zumbahua, the famous volcanic-crater lake of Laguna Quilotoa is a gasp-inducing sight. A lookout on the precipitous crater rim offers stunning views of the mirror-green lake 400m below (it glows phosphorescent green near some of the rocky edges) and the snowcapped peaks of Cotopaxi and Iliniza Sur in the distance.
When you ask the locals how deep it is, they inevitably say it has no bottom, which seems entirely plausible given its awesomeness (the geologists say 250m).
***
Quilotoa is a water-filled caldera and the most western volcano in the Ecuadorian Andes. The 3-kilometre (2 mi)-wide caldera was formed by the collapse of this dacite volcano following a catastrophic VEI-6 eruption about 600 years ago, which produced pyroclastic flows and lahars that reached the Pacific Ocean, and spread an airborne deposit of volcanic ash throughout the northern Andes. This last eruption followed a dormancy period of 14,000 years and is known as the 1280 Plinian eruption. The fourth (of seven) eruptive phase was phreatomagmatic, indicating that a Crater lake was already present at that time. The caldera has since accumulated a 250 m (820 ft) deep crater lake, which has a greenish color as a result of dissolved minerals. Fumaroles are found on the lake floor and hot springs occur on the eastern flank of the volcano.
Quilotoa is a tourist site of growing popularity. The route to the "summit" (the small town of Quilotoa) is generally traveled by hired truck or bus from the town of Zumbahua 17 km to the South, or more commonly by bus from Latacunga. Visitors no longer have to pay two US dollars each to look from the lip of the caldera. There are a number of simple hostels in the immediate area offering services such as mules and guides. Activities include a four to five-hour hike around the caldera (whose diameter is just over 3 km). The caldera rim is highly irregular and reaches its maximum elevations (3,810 m to the N, 3,894 m to the NW and 3,915 m to the SE) at three lava domes. The 10 km hike is sandy and steep in places and can be quite taxing, particularly if there is fog.
It's a half-hour hike down from the viewpoint (and 1-2 hour hike back up the 280-meter vertical ascent), and very basic lodging down in its bowl. Camping is permitted at the bottom of the crater, but there is no potable water (except half-litre bottles sold at the hostel).
The lake surface is located at 3,500 m asl. The total volume of water stored in Lake Quilotoa is 0.35 km3. According to local inhabitants, the lake level has been slowly declining over the last 10 years. Travertine deposits occur along the shore up to 10 m above the lake level (in the year 2000).
The village of Quilotoa and the associated crater is also a popular destination within the Quilotoa Loop and is a common starting point for the Quilotoa Traverse, a multi-day village to village hiking route.
It was a wonderfully wild day on the Castlemartin range, meaning I had the whole place ego myself. I did six more sites for Sue's ashes, this was one of our very favourite places, Su would do watercolour sketches, while i explored the cliffs. It was thick cloud when I arrived, but the sun cam through, as the waves got bigger and the wind got stronger. The main problem was the tripod getting blown over. Sun arise is by Phosphorescent.
The Blue Grotto refers to a number of sea caverns on the south east coast of Malta, a short distance off the fishermen's harbour of Wied iż-Żurrieq limits of Qrendi, Malta
Wied iz-Zurrieq, the blue grotto and neighboring caves, are all located within the Qrendi village confines, as per Local Council Act 1993 and a 1910 legal dispute between the villages of Qrendi and Zurrieq over their jurisdiction, ruled in favour of Qrendi.
Both the Wied iz-Zurrieq harbor and Blue Grotto sea caves are located on the coastline right opposite to the small uninhabited islet of Filfla. The island now serves as a bird sanctuary.
The location of the caves, combined with the rays of sunlight, lead to the seawater mirroring and showing numerous shades of blue on the cave walls and ceilings.
Several caverns also mirror the brilliant phosphorescent colours of the underwater flora and fauna, whilst other caverns show a deep dark shade of blue.
Underwater, different colors of red, mauve, green, orange and yellow give an impressive and most welcoming picture to its visitors.
The Blue Grotto is a popular destination for tourists to the island of Malta with boat trips visiting the caves running all days of the year (weather permitting).

A lovely sunny day so it's off out to check up on the butterflies. I had a good afternoon yesterday and saw about ten egg laying female High brown Fritillaries. they hang on for so long , it' been nearly two months now since the first one emerged. Sun arise is by Phosphorescent. We're off for another curry club evening tonight, so that will be fun.
This is my postcard for Angharad. She thinks I'm always alone on the beach as I scare people away !!! This was taken after sunset on Hosta beach, when this group of "silly ladies" asked me to take some photos of them . I'm amazed they came out and were in focus , as it was quite dark. They were celebrating Rose's birthday, and were just a wonderful group of "silly ladies ". I did warn them I don't take photos of people. Permanently lonely is by Phosphorescent.
A reverie to say the least,
a darkness perpetrated by beliefs.
I envision the entrance, a cold whistle screams adventure.
Entering the mouth of the beast, my calloused hands, my fragile tips,
brushing against the ceiling, caressing and corrupting the structure,
disappearing deeper from destruction.
This grimace upon the face, this terror protruding within the gut,
an agony to be replaced,
once escaped, courage will flourish.
Expanding the vessel,
vomiting to emptiness, given room to proceed,
phosphorescent hues exploding through my dreams.
Reaching the cusp, I gather my strength,
placed upon my scalp, a diadem to show defeat,
unworthy, fruitless scavengers, left to retreat.
Broken, a shattered age, misguided and abused, nothing to lose.
Words ring true, guidance for those envious of power,
wake from endless lies,
enter into an abyss, never to return,
abandoned dark tunnel.

2 Thessalonians 2:16-17 “And may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself—and God our Father who has loved us and has given us in His grace eternal consolation and a bright hope—comfort your hearts and make you stedfast in every good work and word.”
I had fun late yesterday afternoon making my alternative xmas tree. It was such a wet day though that I only got down there a few minutes before sunset, so it was a mad panic to find the materials. This was a dark leaving shot, after my unmaking things. It's nice to be all alone on the beach as the light fades. The Waves at Night is by Phosphorescent.

Il mare è nero
non si capisce più niente
in questa sera d'autunno
che sa di primavera.
Una nave brilla lontano
fosforescente
ombra di fantasma
senza voce.
Anche la luna si è
persa nel cielo
e si vuole tuffare in mare.
Per dimenticare.
Una sottile falce di luna crescente. Illuminazione 5%. Ma non dovrebbe stare più su ?
Genova
The lost moon
The sea is black
we don't understand anything
in this Autumnal evening
that tastes of Spring.
A ship shines very far
phosphorescent
shadow of a ghost
without voice.
Also the moon
got lost in the sky
and wants to dive
in the sea.
To forget.
I'm neon phosphorescent
Open like a Christmas present, now
You can be my daddy tonight-night-night
If you're seeking heaven
Then you wanna come and get it
