Fayetteville Sesquicentennial celebration, downtown Fayetteville, NC, 1939. Views of parade floats and street scenes in Fayetteville, NC. Shots include views of Sally Frocks, Ed Fleishman and Bros., Nunn Bush Shoes, Belk Hensdale, Hotel Lafayette, New York Café and Restaurant, and S. H. Kress. One float in the parade is horse-drawn and on it are several men and women in Colonial costumes. Another float is elaborately decorated with what appears to be patriotic bunting and on it are riding at least three African American men carrying crosses and wearing what seem to be sacred garments or choir robes.
