With horn blasts echoing through the gorge on a warm spring morning, Crawfords’ PHC002 and PHC001 lead Sydney Rail Services’ #8590 through the Blue Mountains.
The train was en route from Hermidale to Werris Creek, and had been diverted via Sydney due to planned trackwork between Troy Junction and Fletchers near Dubbo. This was the second time the PHC Class had traversed this through this area.

There were incredibly few coaches around Skegness, which was a shame really as last time there were loads. I suppose the summer season hadn't really kicked off by this point, so not many trips were taking place.
One that did show up was one of the Phil Haines fleet, of which I've already seen a couple in Lincoln. They are from Boston, so it makes sense that I'd see a few around from time to time as they're a relatively local company. 2019 Irizar i6 D6 PHC is seen here heading along Richmond Drive on 19.5.23
