Dimanche 6 Juin 2021 – Toujours pas compris le besoin de construire encore et encore des bureaux en Région Parisienne, alors qu’il y en a tant de vide...
Glorying in the intense light of the Sun at it's height as seen through a symphony of cherry blossoms. Hundreds of people were out this day in early May, all gathered in Toronto's High Park to witness this truly awe-inspiring display of Nature.
The image has a "tumbled" structure with a bit of colour saturation and enhancement, and that's it. Enjoying creating a series that's low on processing for a change.
As a student of 20th century painting in my art school days, I became fascinated by the compositional revolution that Jackson Pollock initiated with what became known as "All Over" structure. It took the hierarchical structure of subject and 'environment', foreground and background and eliminated it. Spreading structure over the whole visual area in an even and non-hierarchical fashion created 'fields' which later artists, like Jules Olitski, Larry Poons and Morris Louis, explored after Pollock. From time to time, I like to create such 'fields'.
