cwd182: Perspective - Things that are close are big. Things that are far away are little. Yes -- that's an over-simplification. But you get the idea, right?

It's all about perspective. Put yourself into someone elses shoes. Look at it multiple ways to figure out the true meaning. I ruined a relationship with one of my best friends all because I didn't look at her point of view... So often I get caught up with things that I think are important and ignore the things that matter most... Tell your friends and family how much they mean to you because nothing feels better than knowing how much you mean to someone. Have an awesome weekend and enjoy the little things in life.

Finally got to play with the standard pier perspective, this is the first part of the triptych. Which one do you prefer?

People in Maine probably call this a beach. I would call it more of a shoreline. When I think of a beach, I think of the beaches we have along the Texas shore - with sand that is so fine that when it's dry, it flows in and out of your sandals like a warm footbath. I think of wide-open stretches of sand where you can drive your car up and down the beach for miles upon miles, in a slow-motion promenade that serves as a sort of mating dance for scantily clad young humans.

A single rock the size of these on our beach would draw a crowd as if it were a beached whale, with onlookers gawking and taking selfies with it - wondering where it came from, and some probably wondering if we should push it back out to sea..

But that's just my perspective, which is of course colored by my own experiences and preferences. Which doesn't mean I don't love the rocky shoreline of Maine - I do. There is great mystery and romance in the way the waves crash against the dark rocks and wash back out to sea..

NHS Values Summits bring together a diverse range of people and perspectives to foster greater understanding of how peoples' differences, social status and cultural expectations can affect their experiences of health and care.

Held on a quarterly basis across the country, each summit promotes values-based ways of working and explores a different theme relating to equality, health inequalities and human rights.

The theme of this NHS Values Summit, held on 18th September 2013, was entitled 'Making it happen in Greater Manchester: Integrated care across organisations'. Patient-centred care that is well co-ordinated across care settings and over time is better for all but can particularly benefit patients with long-term, chronic or complex conditions and those who may find it difficult to 'navigate' the health care system.

The Greater Manchester summit was held during National Recovery Month. This provided an opportunity for people to share their recovery stories with others and celebrate their successes, promoting the benefits of prevention, treatment and recovery for those experiencing mental health or substance misuse issues.

As a celebration of shared learning and partnership working, NHS England is pleased to welcome patients and the public, representatives from health and social care, and stakeholders from the private and voluntary/community sectors to these important events.

Change your perspective and you change your reality.....

With the 24-70 on my 5d I finally feel as if I can breathe again. I know the 50 1.4 is a wonderful lens, but I've never felt comfortable with it....give me a wide angle and something different happens when I look through the camera.....to use a horrid pun - something just clicks :)

(I still want to go wider, but all things in good time).

Titan (the orange-brown moon) is actually much larger than the other moon (whose name I've forgotten - most Saturnian moons look pretty much the same) shown above Titan.
