……Converging lines for ’Smile on Saturdays’ theme this week of “One Point Perspective” - Railway tracks are well suited to the theme but without the tracks in place any more I thought a smattering of snow would focus the minds eye instead! Those farm dogs will chase me down every now and then. This too was from a previous winter. They are cute but I wasn't going to step beyond my door- they do protect the farm property.
St. Bavo’s Cathedral – or Sint-Baafskathedraal – started off small and humble in the middle of the 10th century. Eventually, the wooden construction that began life as the Chapel of Saint John the Baptist would transform into the 89-meter-tall Gothic building that keeps watch over Ghent today.

During our last cold snap I got drawn in by the snow attached to one side of all these beech trees, so out came the ultra wide angle and this is the result!
It is good to look in to

to gain appreciation for

and perspective for
