5/24/2014 - I was looking for a different forced perspective image and I came across a penny and quarter. The image was for a math site, trying figure out the distance between the two. I decided to go with a Kennedy Half Dollar, Nickel, Quarter, and Dollar.
Feeling better this morning than I have in a while, I went for a walk around the neighbourhood and added some shots to the 100x project with suburban landscapes.
For landscape shots I usually use a high f-stop (8-13) for wide depth of field. Here the rosebush suggested a foreground focus and low f-stop, while the strong perspective lines of the fence draw the eye into the distance. It's a clash for attention, and I don't know how well it works. Maybe the soft focus on the background disqualifies this as a landscape photo, strictly speaking, but I'm making my own rules. The rose is at home in this place. Its fragrance reminded me of the red climbing rose that grew on the split rail fence in my mother's rural garden.

From a new project which will be looking at the urban environment in a sightly different way. The idea is to look at the Urban Landscape from different perspective, to abstract the detail, look at things completely out of context or in odd juxtapositions.
The students and teachers of Perspectives Middle Academy (located in Auburn Gresham) are making tremendous academic and social emotional learning growth. Just this past year SY 2013-2014, they made almost two (2) grade levels of growth in both math and reading.

Sometimes the best way to see the flaws in an image is to examine its
negative...
What if the Obamas had paraded five children across the stage, following
the debate, including a three month-old infant and an unwed, pregnant teenage
daughter?
What if John McCain was a former president of the Harvard Law Review?
What if Barack Obama finished fifth from the bottom of his college
graduating class?
What if McCain had only married once, and Obama was a divorcee?
What if Obama had met his second wife in a bar and had a long affair while
he was still married?
What if Michelle Obama was the wife who not only became addicted to pain
killers but also acquired them illegally through her charitable organization?
What if Cindy McCain graduated from Harvard?
What if Obama had been a member of the Keating Five? (The Keating Five
were five United States Senators accused of corruption in 1989, igniting a major
political scandal as part of the larger Savings and Loan crisis of the late 1980s and early
1990s.)
What if Obama couldn't read from a teleprompter?
What if Obama was the one who had military experience that included discipline problems and a record of crashing seven planes?
What if Obama was the one who was known to publicly display a serious anger management problem?
What if Michelle Obama's family had made their money from beer
distribution?
You could easily add to this list. If these questions reflected a reality,
if the tables were turned, do you really believe the election numbers would be as close as
they are?
This is what racism does. It covers up, rationalizes and minimizes
qualities in one candidate and emphasizes negative characteristics in another when there is a color difference.
And, think of this - the candidates' educational backgrounds:
Barack Obama:
Columbia University - B.A. Political Science with a Specialization in
International Relations.
Harvard - Juris Doctor (J.D.) Magna Cum Laude
Joseph Biden:
University of Delaware - B.A. in History and B.A. in Political Science.
Syracuse University College of Law - Juris Doctor (J.D.)
John McCain:
United States Naval Academy - Class rank: 894 of 899
Sarah Palin:
Hawaii Pacific University - 1 semester
North Idaho College - 2 semesters - general study
University of Idaho - 2 semesters - journalism
Matanuska-Susitna College - 1 semester
University of Idaho - 3 semesters - B.A. in Journalism?
Education isn't everything, but this is about the two highest offices in
the land as well as our standing in the world.
as you approach you think it is a dead end but the post in view is hiding the other post 3 feet behind it fools my father in law every time(boring photo but very clever)
This is a hand drawn, drop-down perspective, rendered with colored pencil on canson paper.
I designed this kitchen as part of a house for a school design project. As drawn, the glass roof and wall are not structurally sound (I am not an architect or an engineer.) There are several other design issues that in hindsight I now recognize, but as a whole I am happy with both the overall design and this perspective.

This is my suppose to be entry for my photog club monthly contest, but due to work constrain I didn't make to the judging. Sad.. :(
"A shift in perspective can be just what you need to stay motivated. Try to see what you want from a different point of view. What would it look like to the younger you? The older you? A fresh point of view can brighten your motivation like a fresh coat of paint, making it seem brand new again."
Here's Lisa's perspective on a fresh coat of paint.
This picture was taken not far from where I live. A few years ago this street didn't exist; now there's a huge subdivision.

Sometimes it's just how you look at things, it's all about perspective, the art of representing three-dimensional objects on a two-dimensional surface so as to give the right impression of their height, width, depth, and position in relation to each other.
