No tricks no weird perspective, this guy was BIG !

Gigantism, also known as giantism, is a condition characterized by excessive growth and height significantly above average. In humans, this condition is caused by over-production of growth hormone in childhood resulting in persons between 2.13 m (7 feet or 84 inches) and 2.74 m (9 feet or 108 inches) in height.
The term is typically applied to those whose height is not just in the upper 1% of the population but several standard deviations above mean for persons of the same sex, age, and ethnic ancestry. The term is seldom applied to those who are simply "tall" or "above average" whose heights appear to be the healthy result of normal genetics and nutrition. Gigantism is usually caused by a tumor on the pituitary gland of the brain. It causes growth of the hands, face, and feet.[better source needed] In some cases the condition can be passed on genetically through a mutated gene.
Reports of gigantism exist throughout history, with some nations and tribes taller than others. The giants of Crete are listed in various historic sources, beginning with Titan, a Greek mythological giant, and including Gigantus, after whom giants and gigantism are named. Rhodes is another island where giants were said to have lived, with the Colossus of Rhodes, a giant statue of a giant patron god Helios. Goliath, a giant mentioned in the Bible, was a Philistine warrior who was killed by David in a battle between the Israelites and the Philistines. A member of Goliath's family is also recorded as having six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot.
An interesting perspective of two really strange palm trees in front of In-n-Out.
2. Perspective. Things that are close are big. Things that are far away are little. Yes -- that's an over-simplification. But you get the idea, right?
Perspective en jaune: barrage de Mas Chaban (Charente) --- Yellow perspective: Mas Chaban dam (France)
I had my subject lay in the grass so I could capture her body from top to bottom giving it a different perspective as usual.
Unusual perspective and mix of red and greens.. Also tried for a third composition (both shadow and the tree on third lines) and diagonal line cutting soil & water!!
but.. if i have to explain the composition its not a composition anyway :).. so tell me if you could notice all that without me telling that :D
Same subject, different perspectives. This is how I've been looking at life lately. The geek in me says I'm doing a cost-benefit analysis on my life. The writer in me says I'm doing some soul-searching. However which way you look at it, this period of transition will soon be over. Pardon the cliche but I can't wait to take photos of silver linings.

You can see the frog perspective creates a depth. The lines goes high up, we don't know how high it is.
Dogwood week 10: Perspective
This perspective challenge was pretty hard. I feel the story in here is pretty weak. Or at least not the one I wanted to tell.

CC very much welcomed.
- Ben on n’a qu’à courir derrière lui…

I had the opportunity to travel to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic last year and while walking on the beach past all of the lounge chairs and sunbathing tourists, Grace and I came upon these two men from the local community that stopped by the beach for a little fishing. All they had was a plastic soda bottle with some string wrapped around it and a small hook on the end. They took turns wading out into the surf and throwing the baited hook about 20 feet in front of them. It only took them about 30 minutes to catch several small fish to take home for dinner. After talking with them for a bit I asked if I could take a picture and he was happy to pose with his catch.
My perspective is that what many people initially judge as being a sad and desperate situation is not the same view point taken by those living and experiencing life as shown in the pictures. The smile is real because this man is thankful for a meal and knows that this beach and others nearby will produce another meal tomorrow. "To really know a man is to walk a mile in his shoes"... I realized a long time ago that I can't do this, but I can spend time listening to his words, lending my hand along side his while working, and to sit in his home and share a simple meal... even knowing that what he serves me might mean that he goes hungry tomorrow, but to do so is a great honor in most societies. Over the years I have been humbled to the point of tears by the simple acts of love shown by people blessed with a greater appreciation of family, happiness and contentment than most of us will ever know much less ever understand. With that, I am excited to be visiting many new friends in Kenya shortly and to be able to share this experience with my wife....
Yosemite Falls, at 2,425 feet (728 meters), is North America's tallest. Bridalveil Fall, one of the iconic features of the tunnel view, is among the world's most photographed waterfalls. Nevada and Vernal Falls make the Mist Trail Yosemite's signature hike. Yosemite Valley also features spectacular seasonal falls like Ribbon Fall and the Cascades, and there are lots of lesser-known but still impressive falls like Wapama in the north and Chilnualna in the south.
