Les seuls moments où on reçoit des aliments frais, c’est quand un nouveau cargo de ravitaillement arrive. J’étais si heureux de voir mes friandises préférées 😋 Bon, frais, c’est peut-être un peu exagéré : quasiment tout ce qui monte à bord de l’ISS est lyophilisé, en conserve, séché, ou éventuellement ce sont des choses qui restent comestible longtemps naturellement. Notre prochain cargo de ravitaillement n’arrivera pas avant mi-août… j’ai hâte 😁
Fresh food only comes up on new cargo ships. I was so happy to see some of my personal selection I took a picture 😋 As you can see, fresh is a word used lightly (no pun intended). Almost all our food is freeze-dried, canned, dry or has a naturally long shelf-life. Still it is an important part of the day. Our next cargo mission doesn't arrive until half way through August... 😊

This year there are some pictures from very personal places in Lödla, Thuringia and in Berlin, Soviet War Memorial. Places, that remind me of Katja B..
The medium format pictures are shot with a Hasselblad 500cm and a Kodak 200 Gold film, whereas the 35mm pictures are taken with a Leica M6 and a Kodak 200 film. I mounted her Tele-Elmarit 90mm.

indoor photos are really bringing me down, and the more I stare at this the more i think it looks odd. I heard that we only have 2 more months of this awful weather and i hope it goes by quickly. anyways, this photo was inspired by some quite large personal mistakes I have made recently that I'm glad to say I have learned from.

I had intended to keep this one to myself until my semester critique on Friday, but really couldn't stand waiting any longer. This is Lauren being a paragon of pulchritude.
Technical stuff/ Strobist info: Shot on ultra expired Kodak Ektachrome film that had been sitting in a fridge for more than a decade. Shot at 100 ISO in a Hasselblad 500 C/M with a 50mm f/4 C lens. Lit by a Paul C. Buff Einstein bounced off the ceiling/wall to the right .. at probably around 1/60 of a second and f/8. The flash was about half power. It was triggered by Paul C. Buff Cybersyncs and the Cyber Commander. Additional scanning and editing info is a bit lower ...

This is a revisit of a picture I took some years back. I liked the original at the time, but later I felt it were a bit too flawed.
Luckily I were able to go back and try again. I worked a bit more on the symmetry and my position this time, to try to weed out some of the flaws I felt the original had.

Note: One way or another, everyone has their own vices and struggles in life. Lucky ones get to overcome them without much difficulty, others might not be so lucky. Sometimes we feel so weak that running away from it seems like an easier option than defeating it.
