Alligator flags flanked both sides of the boardwalk in a floodplain area of the cypress swamp. Along this section there were pickerel weeds in bloom which were found by butterflies contributing to the health and growth of the environment.

Dear Flickr friends, I wish all of you a Merry Christmas! I’m sorry for being a bit late, but since my mum died last year, Christmas has become one of the hardest times in a year for me. There is still this emptiness at home which is probably also the reason why I participated in so many concerts in my hometown this month such that I experience happy things. Hence, I also went out on Christmas day with a good friend of mine and hiked up the so called Peilstein in order to take a few test shots with my new gear which I bought myself for Christmas. My friend then had to leave, but I stayed to watch the sun set and enjoyed the peaceful quiet on top of this mountain while taking a few images in thoughts of my mum.

A really peaceful evening on Tacoma, WA's Narrows Straight. It was the perfect combination of nice winter weather, little wind, and a slack tide. The twin Narrows Bridges seemed exceptionally lovely at this time.
Thank you for your warm and kind visits in the midst of winter my friends. You are all very much appreciated! 💙

to everyone in littletinpersonland:
i have to go away, and i don't know when i will return. all your comments and encouragement have meant so much to me. i treasure you all and know you will continue to do great things.
this seems a fitting farewell shot. my boyhood home, looking across the salt marsh at sunset, creek docks lit by a soft summer glow, water reflecting that glorious golden light. i'm at peace there, and i will find peace here.

I spotted this while I was doing the engagement photo shoot. During a slow period I just looked over my shoulder and there it was. I learned a lot from that shoot. Number one, next time, I'll be sure and tell them what to wear..;) No, Really! I may as well been shooting in black and white because the colors were so drab. Oh well, it's there memories, my shots came out great..:)
