So I'm finally settled in Sydney and ready to start uploading again!
Here is my new PC that I built a few days ago, I'm seriously head over heels in love with it. The specs for anyone interested are:

I haven't installed the NZXT Hue+ yet as I don't have enough internal USB 2.0 ports and need to get an adapter first. I haven't really done anything labor intensive yet but the few tasks I have done, it has handled it so much faster and easier than my old PC.
Once I get some days off from work I will edit and upload some of my shots from around Sydney.
FINALLY.
After 1 long night, a full day, and nearly another full day of fighting to assemble this box, and install Ubuntu, I booted up a full 3-display setup. That's Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon there, with a nice 3840x1024 image I found online. Yes - it worked online, after about 20 hours of no online service through my only other marginally working box - a Windows XP Shuttle PC, which somehow lost its connection ability early Saturday. When I finally DID get Ubuntu working, it connected to Verizon immediately, and I felt the warmth of online service rush over me like raw energy, recharging my depleted batteries.
I played for about 7 hours, setting things up, frolicking in the repositories, and checking out what was new in Gutsy, as I'd been on Feisty for most of a year on the previous box. Much felt very polished over the last one. Just little things everywhere were much tighter. I didn't crash once in all that time, and that's saying something, because many of those hours were spent trying out every feature in Compiz Fusion, which is now part of the install. Its half-predecessor, Beryl (which merged again with Compiz, whence it had originally forked) was very crashy for me many months earlier. The difference is palpable.
It's quite a tight system now, and I'll be using it as my WM from now on after having put it through its paces. It's just stable as can be, and the feature list is huge, and the tweakability unparalleled, and in fact, unrivaled in its niche, really. I have a few features I still want, especially for this 3-monitor setup, but I have patience now. It's enough for the time being.

Idle - 25-32 C (depends on ambient temp)
Heavy Load - 43-54 C (depends on ambient temp)
GPU Temp:
Idle - 27-31 (depends on ambient temp)
Heavy Load - 51-59 C (depends on ambient temp)
