Boads for my class B power amp

These guys specializes in making printed circuit boards, and flexible printed circuit boards. Unlike our current US supplier, they have NO problems in supplying boards that meet the European Union RoHS directive which places stringent requirements on the allowable lead and heavy metal content.

Food for thought: The US is the ONLY 1st world country that doesn't have a RoHS-like environmental protection clause in place for electronics. Somehow, the Europeans, the Japanese, even the Russians and the Chinese, managed to have legislature either in place or about to take effect limiting the amount of heavy metals allowed in manufacturing of electronics components. And their manufacturing industry is doing just fine.

not entirely correct though

The modified HKR3000 receiver and the unmodified HK-GT2R receiver for size comparison.

Most drastically is the height difference, which can not be seen in this image.

Notice the shadows from the capacitors. Yum!

Unkown PCB found in a box of electronic junk, call it surplus, that I found in my basement.

You can clearly see the LM813N Op Amp. The Diode looking thing is lable DI01, so it probably is one. You can see many caps of 3 different shape and color, and two weird prongs with hallow centers coming out of the top of the PCB (labeled TPI01 TPI02).

I have no idea where it comes from and I'm seriously wondering if it's a sensor or a LED. What kind? It looks a lot like a bigger version of laser leds from cd/dvd-rw.

Any idea what it is?

Totally self contained with battery holder and speakers.

Also with output jacks for connecting to sound systems.

Screw holes for mounting and protective faceplaces.

SMD soldering is always fun :)

done in expresspcb. nice simple fast tool (and still haven't learned eagle...). had a few pcbs done by those guys, not a bad deal.

see the set for more details

(also, a bit of a writeup at zajebi.hackhut.com/2012/01/08/7-channel-1-bus-modular-pcb... )

Yeah, that's not going to work.
