My tablet PC is pretty cool. The screen turns 180 and can be droped back over the keyboard. Then I use the Touch Pen (Found in its nestle under the Tablet) and I can draw on the screen using any drawing software. It isn't a CINTIQ screen but does the job and costs 2000$ less the a CINTIQ...Plus it runs WoW like a charm...hehe!

The 3 500GB perpendicular recording SATA drives are for setting up (probably level 5) RAID inside the new case for important things for which I want to have a bit more resiliency, though I will also be considering offsite backups of the most important bits, because I've had e.g. 2 drives fail simultaneously before. The 320GB will host the system, and act as a place for less important things - batched images, videos, temp files, etc.
I needed the serial ports for things like BASIC Stamp and PIC microcontroller work, so instead of basing my mobo selection around them, I just added them in via PCI slot to a board I liked, that fit my price range. The plan at this point is to take a 3rd Dell 1905FP 19" monitor (from Ebay), put it on a 3rd Ergotron LX arm (from Newegg), and hook all 3 through a Matrox TripleHead2Go Digital Edition box, which converts a single DVI out (from the new 8800GTS) of a 3840x1024 screen resolution signal to 3 individual 1280x1024 monitors, which is the limit of my 3 1905FPs.
Everything in this pile was decided upon after 9 days of heavy research into what's current (haven't kept up since '02), and involved a mix of price, features, reviews by folks at Newegg, and through Google searches about what was good, and would play nicely together, as well as what was known to work with Linux, as I'll be installing Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon on this thing as the primary OS. If/when I add Windows XP, it'll be contained on its own entirely separate drive. I had a twin boot on a partition last time, and would just prefer to have one large Linux disc, and one small Windows disc for the few times I need it.
The original IBM PC, standard equipped with one 5 1/4" floppy and 64K of memory. Actually, it had a port on the back for using a cassette drive as well if a floppy was just too convenient for you. And that keyboard was a massive ten pound behemoth, each keystroke producing a distinctive KACHING noise. Charlie Chaplin's "little tramp" character was IBM's marketing theme for the PC.

After hearing the recent news story (under reported in my opinion but maybe that's due to the looming, London Mayoral elections) that some of our Police force still have archaic and bigoted views, ( story here www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2012/apr/17/police-officer-accused-... ) I felt incensed enough to get up and do a new street piece especially for PC Alex MacFarlane and to any other sympathetic members of the constabulary.
To be honest putting this piece together was a pretty uncomfortable experience but after a lot of thought and questioning I decided to hit it hard, I could have watered it down but then that's just not my style. To give the work some credence I combined actual images of the Al Jolson statue & the (1927) Jazz Singer poster + some obvious inclusions to make it work and sit comfortably with me.
Here's the finished result, placed a stones throw from Beckton Sewage works, London E16 (ironic I feel as this kind of thing stinks in this day and age).

This photo was taken on February 2, 2007. It is not one of my most popular photos but I like loved the shadows on the snow cast from the trees in the wetlands behind my yard.
Note: When I pull up this photo on my pc in the same size the snow has an amazing sparkle to it which is one of my favorite details of this photo. But unfortunately for some reason Flickr seems to cheat us some on resolution so the sparkle doesn't display here.
I didn't try it yet, but of course you can click the letter L, to see if the sparkle will display this way, but I am tending to doubt it..
The stylised little man repairs the computer mouse and pc components. Isolated on white. With clippig path.
