Rye Patch Reservoir, along the Humboldt River, covers 11,000 acres when full. Here, visitors enjoy fishing, boating, water skiing, camping and picnicking. A campground, boat launch and picnic sites are provided. Rye Patch is open all year round
Whenever Patches (the big calico) comes inside, Rajah always jumps on her, picks on her and follows her around like a shadow. It is as if she hasn't seen her in forever. She will go up to Patches and bat her on the head for no reason. She just wants to play. I think Rajah was waiting here for Patches to get up or move and she was going to attack her again.
The patch panel has been fitted and is in the process of being welded in. The left side was done in the same manner.
I'm Lucinda, an Oriental Shorthair female with a rather sad and unlucky story. I am a tiny waif of a girl, too skinny for my small frame, and I was abandoned at the pound with my babies. Clearly I was too young to be a mom, and not given enough food at my last home, because I couldn't sustain my kittens, even with supplemental feedings from the volunteers. The happy note is that I'm healthy and spayed now, and looking for the right home to accomodate my tiny bit of touch-shyness, except when I'm eating or playing. If you swing a fishingpole kitty teaser, I'm front and center to hunt that "bird"! and I'm adorable when I have the attention of little girls! I'm so athletic I can leap from perch to perch like a flying squirrel. I'm also clever enough to open doors and cages, which is no doubt thanks to my Siamese ancestry! People think I'm a calico, but I'm actually a patched tabby Oriental Shorthair cat, and I'm available for adoption at nycsiamese.org.
This is a six week class for a first time beginner, The quilt can be made by hand or by machine only one yard of light and 1 yard of dark are needed for the top and binding. It is a great size for a baby, so the backing could be flannel or minky.
