Come to the Pumpkin Patch at Seminole Heights United Methodist Church down on the corner of Central & Hanna in Seminole Heights. The Patch will be open 12-8 p.m. Sunday through Friday, and 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. Saturdays until Halloween.
On day four of my train journey across Canada by VIA rail. October 2018. We are seeing lots of snow now.
The window are not very clean so the photos are not that good. Also the train was speeding along at times and really bumpy. I have put all the photos I took on my journey on Flickr as a record of my trip.
Luton & District Bristol VR 913 sits outside Aylesbury garage in Buckingham Road, probably in early 1987, not long after it's acquisition from Milton Keynes City Bus. It later gained Red Rover fleetnames.
The former Eastern National and United Counties garage dates from 1939, closing in 1991; the former travel office has already become occupied by Age Concern. Of the cars, the 1972 red Cortina no longer bothers the DVLA whilst the 1971 Austin Maxi was off the road by August 1988. 913 was sold for scrap in late-1996.

#120: World Donkey Day for 125 group - Happy World Donkey Day from Santa Rosa, California. I celebrated by 1) driving to several places I thought I might have seen a donkey before - no donkeys. 2) Driving around random back roads in farm country and spotted this guy in the back of a paddock with a number of goats and sheep (and a black furry pig in a seperate enclosure nearby.) An initially supicious but then helpful neighbor identified the donkey as a special firend of his named Patches. He seemed pleased to know it was World Donkey Day.
Just to show you, this what happens when the stags get to close,they do the haka,but this is full frame,I am on my knees behind a oak tree,tripod closed up,so I am looking up at him,he was being chased by the big guy in the other shot, he also was full frame.
I call this stag Patch, look along his back, he has been about for the last 5 or 6 years,but he don't look to good this year,he has got a very badly infected eye,

MTM restored the Dan Patch and the 1102 Triple Combine and we took them to Stillwater MN. This isn't a great scan (or slide for that matter) but it is pretty rare. I was a little upset because the kid in the foreground just ran around me to get a better shot, but it still is fun to remember this trip and others we did. The late Randy Dean is seen at the controls. He was an MN&S engineer and you can see the MN&S logo on his cap.

Every spring the most beautiful little patch of purple flowers bloom along side the road. So driving by tonight on my way home from work, I noticed that the purple flowers had bloomed. And,I return with my little girl to walk through it and remember the first time her and I walked through the purple patch together. It is one of my most favorite memories together.

Rapidly changing light as I sat waiting and shivering on Curbar edge, the cold wind was ferocious today!! I eventually captured an isolated patch of sunlight on the distant landscape, seconds later it all looked very different.

Female Osprey's Brood Patch (?) showing... from in Maryland this past Spring.
Just 4 months and the Osprey will be arriving again. Btw, I spotted an Osprey in Maryland on Saturday (11/2/2013) so they haven't all left! I've heard in the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay there are now a population of Osprey that do not migrate.
