Hi ya! My name is Patches! I am a young, energetic, happy-go-lucky dog in need of a forever home. I love to play with toys. I will romp and run, tossing them around in the air, tail always wagging with a big, heartwarming grin on my face. I get along well with other dogs, especially those who will play with me. I also have a sweet, friendly, loving personality. I enjoy being petted and told I'm a good boy. I have been around cats and I pretty much ignore them. I am a good dog who is looking for a home where people have the time and energy to spend with me, play with me and shower me with love and kisses. Could that be you? Apply today! Adoption fee: $75. Adopt a pair: $115. Fee includes testing, deworming, vaccinations, spay/neuter, 60 days of free pet insurance, one session with a certified behavior trainer and microchip. Apply online: www.pawsforliferescue.org

I make a lot of noise but would lick you to death!

special treats in the pumpkin patch ;)

Though this picture doesn't convey the beauty I saw from the plane this green patchwork farmland along side the brown mountain divide was very striking. In fact this patch work came up later in a building I saw downtown for which I'm pretty certain this might have been the inspiration for the design.

2010 Pumpkin Patch outing.

This is my little pal Patches, from Pennsylvania. I'm not too sure if he likes me or not, but I think he's pretty rad.

Fall is here. Found this pumpkin patch down on Cape Cod, Massachusetts

22.5 lb 6-8 yo black and white cocker spaniel. He came in severely matted and was scheduled to be euthanized for lack of space. A kind soul pulled him to a kennel to save his life. He has been boarded for over 4 months now. 2 years Rabies vaccination 7/10/09. He interacts well with other dogs and people, and loves to romp and play.

Update 7/12: Patches went to church this morning - socializing with a lot of children and adults. The sermon was about promises - the 2 different kinds (relationship and performance-related). I thought that Patches was the right dog for this sermon. He is about forgiveness, and both relationship and performance promises. A few interested people from the church - the question being whether he wants love and attention more, or exercise more. Some of the people who want to adopt have a backyard, but have broken bones in their feet and can't walk very well. Patches doesn't know commands yet, jumps up on people, and will need work with house-training. A really nice disposition both with other dogs and people.

Patches went into a temporary foster home for 2 days this afternoon. We need an adoptive or foster home by Tuesday afternoon, or he goes back to WV.

I took this at the famous Bates Nut Farm Pumpkin Patch. At the farm you can experience the fall harvest with the colors, scents, tastes and sounds found on their 100 acres. You can also shop for pumpkins, squash and gourds in a variety of shapes, colors and sizes. Bates Nut Farm also has numerous activities including hay rides, straw maze, pony rides and farm zoo.

i finally met Patch, the resident red-tailed hawk of Alta Plaza.

Cheryl brought the boys to a pumpkin patch to pick out some pumpkins to bring home.

* The tin patch Oak tree

Known as ' the Tilford Oak tree '

Thought to be well over 800 years old this oak tree, on the far side of the road on the north side of Tilford Green, was for long considered to be the finest in Surrey. Indeed William Cobbett (1763-1835), a native of nearby Farnham, called it by far the finest tree that he had ever seen in his life.

A Perky Patch of Springtime. We're positively drowning in magnolias and cherry blossom, but it's these little unexpected spots that lend extra cheer to the day!

My dilute Calico, Patches

This is the last photo I took of Patches. A little over a week after this photo she was put to sleep. She deteriorated very quickly. I'm cursed with cats as of late. She was only 9.

My daughter is still looking for her. They were good buddies. This clip shows the most aggressive moment in Patches' short lived relationship with Ella:
