The backside of the Nine Patch Quilt, Zeb and my leg included. LOL. I can't seem to photograph this quilt without my son getting involved.

Lately I have been looking back at some of my first pictures I took when I bought my first ever SLR camera. These pictures taken at Max Patch in 2008 quickly became my favorite shots of my early hobby. I've decided to put a little finishing touches on my early photograph and thought it was worthy of bringing back up again!
I've been following the 9 patch on flickr and tried my own. It's made with left over batiks......... many compliments from co-workers!

This is Patches. One of my sisters dog. I met patches two years ago when he was a pup. He didn't know who I was. It didn't take long before we were best buds though. : )
This was for my "life on the street" assignment for class. My friend James (flickr member: jiaf) and I went looking for some homeless for my assignment. First day was a dud when we were looking downtown, it was too cold and the homeless were hiding in a warm place, we didn't know where that was though. Day two, I look out my window and it dawns on me, how about the bottle depot right behind my house? It's amazing how easily these things escape you. Anywho, found Patch down the alley from the bottle depot.
I asked him to draw what he thought life on the street was like, and here is his creation. Kinda Donnie Darko-esque, a little scary too. I payed him 10$ for his work and James gave him a pair of socks.
I took this at the famous Bates Nut Farm Pumpkin Patch. At the farm you can experience the fall harvest with the colors, scents, tastes and sounds found on their 100 acres. You can also shop for pumpkins, squash and gourds in a variety of shapes, colors and sizes. Bates Nut Farm also has numerous activities including hay rides, straw maze, pony rides and farm zoo.
Hi ya! My name is Patches! I am a young, energetic, happy-go-lucky dog in need of a forever home. I love to play with toys. I will romp and run, tossing them around in the air, tail always wagging with a big, heartwarming grin on my face. I get along well with other dogs, especially those who will play with me. I also have a sweet, friendly, loving personality. I enjoy being petted and told I'm a good boy. I have been around cats and I pretty much ignore them. I am a good dog who is looking for a home where people have the time and energy to spend with me, play with me and shower me with love and kisses. Could that be you? Apply today! Adoption fee: $75.
