This patch belonged to my grandfather (Alexander Wilkins - "WIlkie") who drove for McLean out of the Boston / Woburn terminal from the mid 50's through 1971.
I've put it up here as a way to share it with former McLean employees .

The Bluebells are out - from an enjoyable wander around the woods at Patching with the South East Gang
I cut the rot out, then made the hole rectangular. The patch is made of 3/8" plywood. It extends about an inch down between the chine guards (had to hammer it in place) and it has thickened epoxy all around. A larger back block made from 1/4" wood is inside the boat, and this patch is currently screwed to it. After everything cures, I will remove the screws and fill the holes with epoxy.
Today, I went to the opening of the Flickr Nottingham's Connected 2013 exhibition. Three of my photos were included in the audio visual presentation shown during the day. The guest speakers were really interesting, and it was great to finally put a face to some of the names I have come to know over the past few months. I have been really inspired by all the work on display today, and hope to be included at next year's exhibition.
Friends and family gathered at Oars and Paddles Park in Indian Harbour Beach, Florida, to celebrate Hunter Babcock's 4th birthday party Oct. 24, 2021. The gifts, games, cake, and decorations paid homage to Hunter's favorite theme: dinosaurs!
After the party, Hunter and his family visited a pumpkin patch at Satellite Beach Methodist Church to select the perfect pumpkins to carve for Halloween.

Ancient Aliens Patches is a small project to create a limited collection of badges inspired by supposed original Mayan archeological finds. I love ancestral cultures, as the Mayan, and science fiction books and films, so this Ancient Aliens Patches are the perfect mix of both.
Sometimes I feel like I don't belong on this planet. Actually, many times and for many reasons, and I'm sure you too. It’s not just a question of being different but you really are, each of us is unique. Each one in its own way is special. So I decided to design and produce these identificative patches, thinking about all those people who sometimes feel out of place, that they are not like the others and hope someday to return to their true home, with their own.
I believe we are not alone in the universe, so I will be waiting for my friends from the stars to come and pick me up soon or late.
These nine patches will be the centers for my final sister's choice blocks. Seeing them together likes this makes me wonder if a scrappy nine patch quilt may be in my future.

Not sure I can quite agree with this statement on Wikipedia:
"They are widely regarded as the most intelligent dog breed in the world" :-0
The little tiny patch is from this lovely cotton I bought in a thrift store for a dollar, years ago. I made Phoenix a little summer outfit from it and still have a bit here or there.
Sadly Patch had been vandalised and was no more. Annoying because we had climbed up the steep hill into Clifton especially to see him.
Beside the 'grave' someone had written a eulogy
"Oh Patch how we miss your smile
But you will not be back here for awhile
At least you are now free to roam
Enjoy the peace of your new home
Enjoy your everlasting time - BE FREE
& say a puppy prayer for me"
Patch was designed by Emily Golden who said this about her design "Drawing on my love of crafts led me to this patchwork idea; I could introduce a different level to the sculpture because some swatches relate to the Wallace & Gromit films, whilst others are purely aesthetic. I wanted people to enjoy picking their favourite squares and locating characters!" Luckily Patch was repaired in time for the auction and fetched £36,000
