PRESS "L" FOR LIGHT BOX VIEW (ON BLACK)
This day was perfect for photography: after the storms had cleared, the air was absolutely pure, the light was intriguing and refreshing to my jet-lagged self and the view distance was quite immense. Germany´s increasingly crazy and unpredictable weather has its advantages: The sky featured bizarre cloud formations without end, constantly shifting and morphing. Being back in Germany, I´m delighted by the long duration of the sunsets (in contrast to Zhejiang province in China, where I have been living and working on my landscape images foremost - 30 minutes is the max you have got to nail a sunset capture there!). This right here makes for a truly relaxed shooting experience.

Pictures from our usual visit to the pumpkin patch around this time every year. We always have a good time. This year was no exception.
Unknown species of jumping spider (either a Jotus sp. or a Maratus sp. I am guessing) in the leaf litter of a bush trail. I liked the pretty royal blue iridescent patches the spider had on the back of the head (and parts of the underside and legs). Any I.D. suggestions welcome! [Glenbrook, Blue Mountains, NSW]
Yesterday we went to the pumpkin patch. We spent several hours there, petting pigs and goats, eating kettle corn, and just having a good time.

A group of girls from North Liverpool Academy (NLA) created the patches above. They spent a long time discussing, planning, designing and making their patches with the help of their supportive teacher. They were concerned about a number of issues that they would like to change about the world they live in:
•animal cruelty
•racism
•loss of community
They would love to see people have a deeper:
•desire for peace
•love and concern for each other
