One of Berlin's most famous and best-loved sights – the rococo Charlottenburg Palace, built for Sophie Charlotte, Queen consort in Prussia.

In the middle of La Concha Bay, there is an imposing English-style palace on a hill. This outer palace of the Spanish Royal Family was built in 1893 by Queen María Cristina. She had skin problems and therefore often came to the coast in San Sebastián to take salt baths. Today, the palace serves, among other things, for cultural purposes and the University of the Basque Country gives summer courses to students. A beautiful garden has been laid out around the palace with green lawns and colorful flowers.

The Bourse Palace (French: Palais de la Bourse; Dutch: Beurspaleis), often simply called the Bourse is a former stock exchange building in Brussels, Belgium. It was previously the seat of the Brussels Stock Exchange (BSE). Since 2023, its upper floors have housed the Belgian Beer World museum.

Designed by the architect Léon-Pierre Suys, in an eclectic style mixing borrowings from neo-Renaissance and Second Empire architecture, the building was erected from 1868 to 1873 on the site of the former Butter Market, itself built over a former Franciscan convent whose remains have been unearthed. It is located on the Boulevard Anspach/Anspachlaan, and is the namesake of the Place de la Bourse/Beursplein, which is, after the Grand-Place/Grote Markt, the second most important square in Brussels.

Slavkov Castle (also known as Austerlitz Castle) is a Baroque palace in Slavkov u Brna, in the Czech Republic. A first castle at the site was erected by the Teutonic Knights in the early 12th century, then the seat of a commandry within their Bohemian bailiwick. In the early 16th century it passed to the Moravian noble house of Kaunitz (Kounicové) who had it rebuilt in a Renaissance style. The present-day palace with 115 rooms was erected from 1696 onwards according to plans designed by the Italian architect Domenico Martinelli. The impressive garden in a French style modelled on the Gardens of Versailles was laid out in 1774. In the oval ceremonial hall (the "Historic Salon"), an armistice was signed between Austria and France after the Battle of Austerlitz on 6 December 1805. There is a small historic museum and a multimedia presentation about the battle. In 2008, the palace was included in the List of National Cultural Monuments.

W kolejnym stuleciu dokonano rozbudowy zamku. Zleceniodawcą był Dominik Ondřej z Kounic. Nową część zamku zaprojektował włoski architekt Dominik Martinelli, freski na większości z sufitów namalował Andrea Lanzani, a rzeźby do dziś zdobiące park wykonał Giovanni Giuliani. Po wygaśnięciu linii rodu Kouniców zamek przeszedł do rąk rodu Pálffy. Po drugiej wojnie rezydencja stała się własnością Czechosłowacji. W skład kompleksu pałacowego wchodzi rozległy park z kilkoma basenami i wystrojem rzeźbiarskim Giovanniego Giulianiego.

The rose garden of Rundāle palace is located on both sides of the ornamental parterre, filling up the areas designed by architect Francesco Rastrelli. Roses were not planted there during the 18th century.

The largest part of the rose garden is taken up by modern roses, which have been grouped by colours, in order for it to be possible to compare the work of various breeders in the formation of a single colour variation. The area closest to the parterre is planted with English roses that resemble old garden roses. There are 52 rose circles dedicated to separate breeders or countries – in them varieties created by 72 breeders from 17 countries can be viewed. Collections of historical roses have been created in the six furthermost beds of the garden. There are rose hedges formed along the eastern and western walls of the garden.

The Rose garden project was started in 2005 and was financially supported by “Latvijas Mobilais Telefons”. The garden was created with a significant help from the Latvian Army and many volunteers.

In total, there are 2230 rose varieties including 600 historical varieties grown in the garden of Rundāle Palace. Although most of the historical varieties only bloom once from late May until mid July, the modern varieties, on the other hand, can flower repeatedly until the first frost. The rose gardens displaying the diversity of species through their forms and hybrids are also very interesting in autumn when visitors are captivated by a variety of colours and forms of rose hips.
