What would London probably without Parliament and the Big Ben? Not only the building itself, but also the lives of all around me interested. As it is so famous among all these buildings to life? Clear I come from Bavaria, am so used to the old stuff around me and yet London is but a completely different world for me.

The Electoral Palace (German: Kurfürstliches Schloss) in Koblenz, was the residence of the last Archbishop and Elector of Trier, Clemens Wenceslaus of Saxony, who commissioned the building in the late 18th century. In the mid-19th century, the Prussian Crown Prince (later Emperor Wilhelm I) had his official residence there during his years as military governor of the Rhine Province and the Province of Westphalia. It now houses various offices of the federal government.
The Electoral Palace is one of the most important examples of the early French neoclassical great house in Southwestern Germany, and with Schloss Wilhelmshöhe in Kassel, the Prince Bishop's Palace in Münster and Ludwigsburg Palace, one of the last palaces built in Germany before the French Revolution. Since 2002, it has been part of the Rhine Gorge UNESCO World Heritage Site, and it is also a protected cultural property under the Hague Convention.
Cliff Palace at Mesa Verde
Mesa Verde lights up a display once a year and we were lucky enough to have Cliff Palace lit this year. We arrived a little after 2:00PM to get a good setup spot and since we were the 1st ones arriving it was prime. By twilight time there must have been well over 100 photographers and tripods. This shot is composed of 4 vertical shots stitched together in a panorama method.

The Brighton Marine Palace and Pier, commonly known as Brighton Pier or the Palace Pier is a Grade II* listed pleasure pier in Brighton, England, located in the city centre opposite the Old Steine. (Wiki)
In the middle of La Concha Bay, there is an imposing English-style palace on a hill. This outer palace of the Spanish Royal Family was built in 1893 by Queen María Cristina. She had skin problems and therefore often came to the coast in San Sebastián to take salt baths. Today, the palace serves, among other things, for cultural purposes and the University of the Basque Country gives summer courses to students. A beautiful garden has been laid out around the palace with green lawns and colorful flowers.

The palace was inhabited by members of the Royal Family of the Netherlands until 1975. As the National Museum Paleis het Loo, it has been open to the public since 1984 and exhibitions and events take place there. The palace is owned by the State of the Netherlands.
Paleis Het Loo has a Dutch-Classical garden with French influences (a subdivision trimmed with Japanese holly hedges). It is a formal garden in the style of the 17th century Baroque, echoing the Renaissance gardens of André le Nôtre, such as at the Château de Versailles.
One side of the garden is the mirror image of the other. There are several fountains in the garden of Het Loo Palace, with names that refer to figures from Roman and Greek mythology (such as the Venus and Hercules fountains).
Drottningholm Palace, taken from the gardens at the back.
The palace was constructed according to a French prototype by the architect Nicodemus Tessin the Elder, by commission of Queen Hedvig Eleonora. Many royal personages have left their mark on the palace since then. The palace features magnificent salons from the seventeenth, eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, a beautiful park, a unique palace theater and a Chinese Pavilion. The imposing Baroque garden was laid out beginning in 1681 according to drawings by Nicodemus Tessin the Younger. The palace and the park are mostly open to visitors year round (visitstockholm.com).
