The shadows are growing long as LG1 rolls along Summit Rd., the 2127 tripped a breaker coming up Muldraugh Hill causing the train to stall so they're running about an hour and a half behind. Instead of the normal stop and swap at Caneyville, they'll meet LG2 just ahead at Big Clifty.
With no fresh MAC's for the train today, the two old GP's are working hard and sound good doing it with 90 empty hoppers.
Northbound PAL LG1 wraps around the the tight S curve; coming into the small town of Horse Branch. They would soon meet their southbound empty counterpart LG2 at Caneyville. The dense snow coming down on the chase really justified bearing the freezing cold weather.
