Another oil painting depicting a classic Parisian street scene with the Eiffel Tower visible in the background. It was a gift from a good friend.
I would like to take this instance to thank him, as well as all of you, dear friends, sincerely.
So ... how is this "painting with light" thing done?.
With lots of light, patience and a beautiful location :)
A flower photo from the esplanade that I wasn't keen on, so I decided to spend some time on it and artify it and now I'm quite keen on it!
All thoughts most welcome as usual!

While we were in Chiang Mai we took the opportunity to look around some of the craft villages that the city is famous for. The best place that we went to look at was this place where they still make traditional unmbrellas both for shade and rain.
"These paintings convey movement and emotion in response to both living and dried florals in the studio. Working from observation, I'm responding to what I see and feel - a musical mark in the sweep of a brush or a calligraphic scribble. Most importantly, they take me out of myself and I am able to let go. The struggles in life are echoed in the resolution of each piece - for me, a deep sense of satisfaction and peace.
Another shot from my workshop with Brady Cabe bradycabe.com/ . This is hard to do in the dark, you set your timer on continuous shooting, run into place, and hope one turns out....

Light Globe + RGB torch mk2
Taken in the A540 underpass on the Wirral Way. I lost the last RGB Torch so i ordered another one off Amazon, this one does White as well. The light globe is quite cool! Its sound activated and rechargeable with rotating LEDs inside of it.
Normally i don't see anyone but i noticed the light from a bike coming down the path from a distance. I quickly moved the light out of the way and waited for him to pass. I got a quick "thank you" as he passed but god knows what he was thinking seeing a mini rave ahead!!

Old school painting (acrylics on canvas). It was a huge horizontal canvas, with flowers all over it.
It gave me a LOT of work and I was in doubt about the result, but when I saw it on the wall of the person who ordered it, I was really satisfied.
I painted it 3 years ago, soon after chemo and radiotherapy.
Well, as it worked as a therapy to find the way back to real life.
I loved working on it.

Have a lovely new week, dear friends.
