Pace 6447, a 2015 ElDorado National Axess BRT, on route 240 departing from Rosemont transit centre in Rosemont, Illinois on Friday, October 14th, 2022.
The car alongside this westbound South Shore Line train on 11th Street in Michigan City, Indiana, may have to stop for a traffic light but the train does not. The train is bound for Chicago.
At the start of the Plym Valley Railway’s Transport Weekend, 143618 is seen here ahead of working the line check, 09+15 Marsh Mills - Plym Bridge, at Marsh Mills. I was early on the scene to capture this, train crew hadn’t even turned up yet!
With the first drop off within reach, SSR's 8778 puts the hammer down through Perthville at the bottom of Tumula Bank with streamliners B61, GM27, S317, GM10 and S302.
The five bulldogs had travelled all the way from Stirling North in South Australia and stabled the previous day at Broken Hill.
Pacer replacement 195 115 is seen arriving at Preston on 1C70 0827 Manchester Airport to Windermere service. Not one Pacer was seen in the hour or so I was here.

West Yorkshire Metro liveried Pacer 144006 on a Leeds to Huddersfield passenger train
A few week ago Jason picked me up for a quick trip down to Waterman to catch Penn Central and the I.T.Heritiage units together. It was moving along so well that we were only to catch it once and only pace for a short time into the golden light.

Here is a cropped shot of a Morecambe - Leeds service.
Whilst waiting on the empty Gypsum from Kirkby Thore ( it passed me whilst I was travelling south from Settle and was held at Settle Junction ) 142031 appears on the approach to Long Preston to the south of Settle Junction with 2Y55. This is the 1034 Morecambe to Leeds service worked by a Pacer on the 17th May 2017. It is seen passing here at 1148

Huddersfield and 144004 coughs into life. The Pacer unit will form the 16.03 service to Wakefield Kirkgate.
The backdrop is a fine building, the old goods shed?
A few pacers are in view at Sheffield, with the main focus being 142090. Unfortunately I didn't have time to capture the numbers of the other DMU's before catching my train. Behind the 153 is 144005. This photo was taken on 02/09/2019.
To walk with your another half in the "life" road, you both must have the same pace, either one goes faster or slower, the other one need putting effort to catch up or wait. Otherwise the pace cannot be kept.

If it's the first week of May in the Bluegrass, it must be time for Kentucky Derby special train moves.
This year, the first move was RJ Corman's "Old Kentucky Dinner Train"--featuring a pair of ex-SOU F-units--ferrying from its home in Bardstown over to Lexington to prep for the big day.
Although it appears that we're flying, the CSX crew has the venerable F's pegged at the posted speed limit on the Main Line.
Resting at Manchester Victoria Platform 2 with comrade 142055, Northern no. 142094 sits silent and motionless during the weekend, redy to be fired up for Monday morning.
Arriving at Mytholmroyd from Manchester is Pacer No. 142017 piloting a Sprinter set. This photo shows the old platforms extending over the narrow road bridge which have been closed for many years. Now that longer platforms are needed, new extensions are being built at the other end of the station.

142063 leaves Dawlish while working an Exmouth-Paignton service on 7 April, 2010. Since scrapped in favour of Class 15X and 16X units, the much-derided ‘Pacers’ nonetheless proved well-suited to the Devon coastal service, their wide bus-type doors ideal for families laden with prams and beach paraphernalia.
The snow has almost melted away in this view of Barnsley's streets taken from the footbridge at Summer Lane station on 4th February 1996. A Pacer unit approaches on a Sheffield to Huddersfield working.
Three different EMD SD70's lead a hotshot intermodal train through Odessa, NE as they race westbound while passing alongside an eastbound general freight.
143602 is one of a small number of Pacer DMUs currently operated by Transport for Wales. It was photographed leaving Penally en route to Swansea.
The Pembroke Dock to Swansea line passed our living room window so I was able to keep an eye on the rolling stock used. Mostly, this was Class 150 2-car sets, but also Class 153 single cars frequently turned up either alone or as a 3-car set with a 150. This pacer showed up once.
The Pacer DMUs have a limited future due to accessibility issues. They may get a major overhaul, but I suspect they may be set for disposal.

Just completed my second Ottawa marathon yesterday and boy, are my arms tired. It's not easy carrying all that camera gear for hours and photographing thousands of sweaty athletes. For those that have been following my stream for a while now, you may remember that I shot the 2008 ING Ottawa Marathon (See my 2008 race photos here). I was back at it again this year and will be posting my photos over the next week to 10 days days. Hope you enjoy!
Above, at the 31k mark, the pace cars guide lead runners Abraham Kebeto of Ethiopia, Ahmed Baday of Morocco and Wegayehu Girma, also of Ethiopia. Out of the frame, in sixth position, is David Cheruiyot who went on to win the race in 2:13:22.
