Ok, here's a great example of overthinking a set. I really liked some of the stuff that came out of the Too Much show from last week and wanted to incorporate some of those ideas. I think the problems is though that while I connected more with the crowd at Too Much I alienated or disassociated with them just as much here. So the same bits that worked there, really missed here. Thankfully I learned that and will now set about on working the crowd more and try winning them into the weirdness that way.
Also, the first time I have worked the Nest since coming back to Montreal. Thanks Paul for giving up your time. I owe you one brother. Back in the day this was my favourite room to play. I kind of feel like it could be again.

Two men popped out of the cafe for a quick smoke. I caught this guy a few seconds before he came back in. I'm not yet comfortable quick sketching people, so having just a few seconds probably freed me up to just do it rather than overthink.
Back in the days when I used to hold weekend rehearsals. Ah, those were the days. Not anymore - not paid, and too many other things to sort out on weekends. This was a good mob to work with. Not overly academic, which can be a problem as those types can live in their heads and occasionally overthink things or are too self-conscious. The boy playing Puck was a natural - not in all the sense that the word can be used. He was certainly full of mischief and energy and was happy to take risks.
Almost 20% of American adults have some form of anxiety. The majority do not seek treatment, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Anxiety disorders are characterized by persistent worry and intrusive negative thoughts, even in the absence of a realistic threat. People may overthink or catastrophize situations.
Some signs and symptoms of anxiety disorders are not quite as obvious. They can also come in the form of persistent worry or panic attacks. These may present as more mundane challenges but are still important clues as to what is going on.
Over the years, Drake has had many restless nights. Ever since his childhood, he’s been a victim of insomnia, often being kept awake by his anxious and depressing thoughts. Even when things are good in his life, he still finds it hard to get any rest—oftentimes getting caught up in his contentment to let his mind settle down, as even his happiness is something he can’t help but overthink about.
However, this time, that isn’t the case. Lately, Drake has been dealing with feelings of guilt, anxiety, longing, and confusion—brought about by issues much different from the stressors of his past. These issues feel more present—hauntingly so—because it’s not just for himself that Drake worries; it’s also for the two people he loves so deeply—ones he keeps very close to his heart—one of which who’s sleeping right beside him, blissfully unaware of his mental turmoil. He’s afraid of being the one to hurt them both, and in a way, he feels he’s deserving of his restlessness.

I always overthink layout, especially when it’s going to be a gift. Plus I still have to decide what fabric to use for the stars too.

"I am not a product of my circumstances. I am a product of my decisions." - Stephen Covey ---- Choose Wisely: Life is life. It is what it is. Whatever you make out of it, it's your choice. You have been thrust into this world.. To live or merely survive, it's your choice. Life would appear meaningless and random.. To create your own meaning or be nihilistic, it's your choice. What is meant to happen, will happen.. To shape YOUR own destiny or be a victim of fate, it's your choice. ---- There is no one right way to live; no signals, signposts, no illuminated path.. To steer the direction of your life or drift aimlessly, it's your choice. There are so many things you can do.. To do everything, something or nothing, it's your choice. Life will ask difficult questions of you.. To confront them or run away, it's your choice. Often you would be called upon to make tough decisions.. To overthink it or go with your gut, it's your choice. What, my dear companion, will you choose? ---- For the entire poem, check out The Existentialist on Facebook. #existential, #existentialism, #existentialist, #choice, #decisions, #quote, #quotes, #qotd, #quoteoftheday, #wisdom, #poetry, #lifelessons, #life, #love, #inspiration, #inspiringquotes, #motivation, #motivationalquotes, #freedom, #philosophy. Sketchbook...
I'm having fun doing really simple drawings with just a paintbrush and cheap acrylics. An exercise to not overthink things and just draw.
We are dying from overthinking. We are slowly killing ourselves by thinking about everything. Think. Think. Think. You can never trust the human mind anyway. It's a death trap.
--Anthony Hopkins
The headline of the paper that this gentleman was leisurely reading was "Is the World Broke?". It struck me on two levels... first that he was reading the paper in a rocking chair at the Magic Kingdom rather than taking in the sights (that he had just paid $80/day for!!) and secondly the title of the article vs. the abundance of people in the park.
Perhaps I'm overthinking it...
Why do I feel like i'm locked out of your life all of a sudden? Its like a door slammed shut to my face, as though you no longer welcome my company. I don't understand how things have come to this. Perhaps I am overthinking things yet again.
Its strange to know how we're talking but not communicating anymore. I don't feel the same strains of friendship I've come to get used to.
Or perhaps is it me who is the one that is being locked in with my insecurities?

Time remaining- 6:02
Introducing our newest escape artists at EXIT Edmonton Escape on Whyte. These girls raced through our toughest room and escaped with only 6:02 minutes remaining. Together that have completed many rooms with other players. The two best friends recommend only using their hints with they have been stuck on the puzzle for more than a couple minutes! If they could be any animal while escaping redemption they would want to be dolphins. By using their brains and not overthinking, this group definitely can escape any room if they wanted to! Thank you for sharing your experience with the Exit Edmonton community and we hope to see you soon for another great time!

How many of us have goals and aspirations that excite us, but then we look around, overthink, and decide we can’t do it.
I think it’s high time we stop doubting ourselves, our abilities, and our own strength.
