Rebuilt one on the left, Panda one on the right.

This concerned me a bit, the diff output tripod socket seemed too far forward in the casing, the thing is, it isnt adjustable. I ended up using the 4-speed bellhousing/diff casing instead of having the damaged one welded.... the part numbers were different, despite both being made in 1990, so the concern was that the diff position was different.

I then went out & checked the 5-speed Panda gearbox & as you can see in this picture, it seems to be in the same position, so all, in theory, is well...

For now I got 48 thousand 512*512 transparents pngs rendering at 22fps !!!! (And this on my old 1ghz + 512 ram computer)
