Di and I spent a night here. It is on a cattle farm and we really enjoyed our stay with the owners.

As I approached Bourke I could see this whiteness on the horizon. It turned out to be a massive storm which, sadly, never actually hit Bourke itself. I say sadly because it was about 37 degrees. Apparently Nyngan got hammered by it though.

I followed Harry Cobra's lead and used a Lanard Ultra Corps figure for my new Outback.

Dis-used farming equipment and silos dot the landscape. The effects of a seven-year drought and the subsequent decline of Wheat-farming in Australia's North-west Victoria has led to hundreds of farming families leaving the land to re-start their lives in regional and capital cities.

My 2018 Subaru Outback almost 2 years old.

Being a cattle property, the flies had a great breeding ground and were thick as … well… flies! I hate the mongrel things, but luckily we were prepared with fly nets all round. They stayed with us until after the sun set.

I wonder where they go???
