The highlands of Iceland have a lot in common with the Australian Outback and are yet totally different. Not only is it much colder. Also Blunnies don't work here.

Tomorrow's dinner, brought by a friend coming back from a remote indigenous community. Every time I opened the fridge, the thing freaked the shit out of me.

This was South Australia’s northern-most pastoral lease, which was initially taken up in 1873. It passed through the hands of several owners until finally being abandoned in 1925.

The buildings were built sometime between 1873 and 1885. This small settlement consisted of the homestead, a shed, workmen's quarters, blacksmith's shop and the stockyards. The homestead is thought to be the earliest structure.
