It's not the kind of thing that we expected to see while driving the Oodnadatta Track, but there's a sculpture park out there that was awesome.

Old ruins litter the landscape of the Flinders Ranges in South Australia. It is quite amazing watching as nature slowly reclaims these buildings that are long abandoned,

The NSW town of Bourke is often described as the beginning of the Outback as " The Back o 'Bourke". Locate on the Darling River it became a transport hub in the mid nineteenth century with large consignments of wool being shipped to the south by paddle steamers towing barges. It was also a hub for Cobb and Co coaches and also for Afghan cameleers.
The railway from Sydney arrived in 1884 ( 512 miles or 824 kms) which was earlier than some suburban localities!
Here the " Far West Express" is standing at the end of the line on 13 February 1975.
Washaways on the approach to Bourke led to the closure of the line in 1989, but the passenger services were replaced by coaches in the 1970's.
I'm in the process of designing a trademark for a fictitious unconventional travel company called Outback. It's a school project, in case that wasn't clear.
This company caters to students and budget travellers, but mostly students. The kinds of unconventional travel that is offered include arranging couches to sleep on in other cities, arranged hitchhiking and ride sharing, possibly even house swapping (if you think I'm nuts, search the Internet for these things. There are organizations that actually do these things. It's nuts).
I'm trying to have fun with this so the logo ideas look kind of goofy. I'm also trying to think of logos that would work as part of an overall look and feel for the company's web site.
For what it's worth, the ball on the bottom row in the middle with the starting point (circle) and ending point ("x") got the best reaction from the rest of my class so that's the winner.
