I figured this was the safest place to park on a windy day in the Coast Range of northwest Oregon. I could see at least 70 blown-down trees, but there's no chance two trees would ever fall in the same place, is there?

Camping in the outback is spectacular - the night sky and warm fire. Tents can be used but we decided to sleep under the stars using a swag. It is a rolled up canvas mat and thin mattress for comfort. A popular brand of swag is "Swagman"
