"Our task must be to free ourselves by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature and its beauty."
Albert Einstein
We all have our demons
Our most inner thoughts
We try to keep our reasons
And hold on to our hopes
We can take our chances
Reveal our true selves
Dwell on what has passed
Analyse and think too much
But I like being human with you and I hope you know it
I like being human and all of the good that comes with it
We overgrow our worries
Sing our sorrows too loud
Forget to look around us
Lose sight of what we have
But I like being human with you and I hope you know it
I like being human and all of the good that comes with it
approximately 2 miles east of Valley of Dreams in New Mexico is a small area with very interesting locations for milky way photography
The goldfish (Carassius auratus) is a freshwater fish in the family Cyprinidae of order Cypriniformes. It is one of the most commonly kept aquarium fish. A relatively small member of the carp family (which also includes the Prussian carp and the crucian carp), the goldfish is native to East Asia. It was first selectively bred in ancient China more than 1,000 years ago, and several distinct breeds have since been developed. Goldfish breeds vary greatly in size, body shape, fin configuration and coloration (various combinations of white, yellow, orange, red, brown, and black are known). Goldfish have strong associative learning abilities, as well as social learning skills. Goldfish are gregarious, displaying schooling behavior, as well as displaying the same types of feeding behaviors. 2109
"Where is the end of our shadows
Where are we?...
What's the answer? I ask myself
But I can't find it alone
We can do it together, yeah...
When our lights shine
When the day we dreamed of opens up
Shine on you, shine on me
In this one world we live in"
from Victon "Light" (eng. translation)
After three full days of Central Florida downpours, we were finally able to take the rain gear off start the drying off process. It was the same for the eagles and ospreys as they seemed to be bogged down by the heavy rain.
We fished under this fellow for a few hours, the entire time he just kept his head down and pointed into the wind as the bands of rain came through.
It's not just the tourists who are happy when the rains end!

If this does not make a difference to you, put yourself in these people's shoes. They are fleeing from violence trying to start a new life for themselves and their families. Giving their children a better start to life and then they are separated and their children place behind bars! Can you imagine this happening to you, your children, or grandchildren? These people are not bad, they fell into desperate and unfortunate circumstances and they need our help! We must find a way to reunite these families and never allow families to be separated again!
Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️❤️❤️

There has been a church on this site since Norman times but the present church was built in 1512, just three years after Henry VIII was crowned king of England.

It is our responsibility to care for and protect our wildlife. We are surrounded by the beauty of animal families who belong in our world too. We must learn to share and care.
Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️❤️❤️

Happy Fence Friday Folks!
I’m giving a nod to Fence Friday, and adding some Lancashire blue sky along with our lush countryside, and a touch of alliteration.

I actually took this photo as a backup one morning, but didn't use it in the end.
Our Cape daisy has a flower. However since then, it has wilted but another one bloomed. We seem to get one flower at a time, whereas the main plant it came from flowers non stop.
Better viewed large and thank you for our favourites.
My son made me very proud. First time we rode into the hills together and he bravely mastered all the climbs on the bike. First climb is the hardest, so we enjoyed the views onto the vineyards and the valley below on our first summit together.
Today it is he who drives Bronseplassen.
Bronseplassen is a reconstructed farm from the Bronze Age located along county road 401 in Høvåg in Lillesand municipality in Agder. The farm shows how our ancestors lived around 3,500 years ago. The 25-metre-long and 8-metre-wide longhouse is furnished as people lived at that time, with space for cooking, food storage, sleeping places and room for the livestock. The longhouse's building materials are cow dung, clay, twigs and peat. In addition to the longhouse, there are barges, a labyrinth, a sacrificial place and a burial ground on the site. archery and archery are also demonstrated, and a separate fertility maze. Bronseplassen has a herb garden with plants that have been used for food and medicine since the Bronze Age until our time.
The site has its own section from the Viking Age (700 - 1000 AD) with reconstructions from the Oseberg find. Here, a large Viking tent, dragon bed, items of use from the Viking Age and Grindehus forge have been set up. Bronseplassen serves food related to the Bronze Age, and is open in the summer months May-September.

This is another work for Working Towards a Better World. If we open our eyes we can appreciate the beauty surrounding us, even when there is much ugliness in our midst. Together we can make our lives throughout the world more beautiful by sharing, caring and loving.
Have a wonderful day my Flickr friends!
