Last shot of the Orbit mini-series. I'll return for a late afternoon shots with better shadows and colors or possibly a night shot.
We'll see...
The latest project. A near-future orbiter....Produced of course by the Babalas Drive Yards (the ship yards space division)
Using inspiration from the current (soon to be retired) NASA orbiter.
Running seriously low on white slope bricks at the moment.....Even old, dirty reject bricks are going in to this.
🌞🌍🌖
#Sandpatterns left by the #tides and lit by the first rays at #sunrise. All tracks caused by a gigantic eternal dance.
Have a great weekend!
The very bright streak is Jupiter traversing the sky, it's a great time to look for our solar system's biggest planet! And don't miss the Perseid Meteor Shower right around the corner peaking Aug. 12th, it should be a good year for it!
This is one of my first stacked star trail images, usually in the past I used slide film or used 15-30 min exposures. For this image, 62 1 min 11 sec exposures 1 sec apart were combined with this free Photoshop action. Others you might want to try, especially if you need a stand alone if you don't have PS are here and here. Enjoy!
Some more random experimentation with light.
2 exposures merged in photoshop, both taken with no lens by refracting light directly on the sensor.
. . . No this is NOT a close up of Pluto, but rather a long exposure (3 seconds) close up of The Orbiter, a ride at the Traverse City Cherry Festival from last week. Even though some of the rides were the same as previous years, the long exposures always give you something a little different each time!
Have a great weekend Facebook and Flickr friends!
Messing around with light and reflection and refraction. Can't wait for this deep freeze to lift and I can venture outside again. -25 today.
Our orbit is giving us a very low sun angle right now – great for cloud pics!
