Here's another shot of Borrego Desert Sunset/BlueHour. I thought about heading back out yesterday, but when I checked the weather report it was calling for temperatures of 116 degrees. Decided to stay home and Chill. :)

Just in the last week or so the butterfly bush has started blossoming. I was very happy to see the monarch stop by! An added bonus with the small bee in flight, honing in on the fragrant blossoms. Patience was required with the blustery breezes blowing and the butterfly flitting between different blossoms.

This bush is in our yard so I look forward to seeing what other visitors might stop by!

Today is a yellow day at Color my World Daily Group and at the fabulous *ღღ* Cosas de casa *ღღ Group the theme is “with water”. Happy yellow water day (OMG that sounds so not right !!!LOL).

A perfect summer vacation day near the swimming pool, calls for a glass of cold sparkling water (or gin ;-) ???). And who says sparkling water says macro picture of bubbles !

I will try to catch up as soon as possible with your comments and Photostreams but since I’m officially on vacation with my sons my activity on Flickr will be rather slow for the next few days …I apologize for that!! Have a beautiful day my friends!!

Macro Mondays theme In Ice

A simple image of a frozen snow drop.

I experimented with various ideas until I gave I up. The trouble with ice is that it has a tendency to melt and by the time you get to a subject or composition that you like it's all over and gone.

After a few days of messing around and sad news coming in that my Godmother had been taken gravely ill with the virus, I found this solitary snow drop that I had frozen last week. It seemed quite apt under the circumstances.

This photo is dedicated to all those who have lost loved ones to this awful virus.

ou Corniche de l'Estérel

Route touristique de Saint-Raphaël (83) à Théoule-sur-Mer (06).

Elle dispose de superbes points de vue sur les falaises de porphyre rouge du massif de l'Estérel mais aussi sur les îlots et les rochers rouges émergeant de l'eau.

Ce site enchanteur propose une merveilleuse palette de couleurs, allant du bleu turquoise de la mer au rouge de la roche, en passant par le vert du maquis et des pins parasols.

This marmot was not sure when I returned to this spot below Lake Marie in Wyoming. I originally saw several of them there in this rock pile while taking sunrise landscapes. Hiked back a little later with the long lens and saw this one that was still not sure whether I was friend or foe. Liked this initial capture of the marmot there on the rocks among the pretty flowers. Around elevation 10,500 feet.

Will follow with one of the last images taken of this cute critter after it scrambled off and watched me for a while from a high distant point ... but eventually after staying still it returned to its feeding grounds and ended up getting quite close to me.

It was also great returning to this park in late July ... last summer in 2019 in late June, this whole area was still under several feet of snow.
