I took this shot on the top of Cat Bells in the lake district on Sunday the 10th of July 2020. From this view point you can see Derwentwater, Keswick and Skiddaw. This walk was supposed to be for pensioners and children alike. My partner said that this was a load of rubbish or words to that effect.

Yesterday I took my old camera and old lens to wander around in the rain. The maple trees that were here grow tall and too close to the house. But for now we won’t have to make a decision.

Shooting in RAW allows for a lot of mistakes. Mostly, however, this is about as shot.

Is this a Greater or Lesser Yellow legs?

Both have long yellow-to-orange legs. When seen together they are distinguishable by size, the Lesser is noticeable smaller ( about the size of a Killdeer and the Greater about twice as big) When not seen together it is more difficult to tell.

When they are alone they can be separated by bill size. The Greater,s bill is about 1-1/2 times the length of its head and sometimes (not always) slightly upturned while the Lesser’s bill is about equal to the length of its head and is straight. In summer, the Greater’s head and neck are heavily streaked with black and sides heavily barred with black while the Lesser’s head and neck is finely streaked with black and the side lightly barred with black.

Can you still hear that driveway bell going “ding ding” as you pull in? Then the question from the full service guy asking, “Regular or ethyl?” He cleans your windshield, checks your tires, and off you go!

Where it all started, or where you can find out how it started.

There are stories that should not be forgotten... Well, perhaps we should never forget. From memories, from the past and from our history we learn. Today I begin to record the result of my investigations. A task that has taken me a year, a long year of wandering between the shelves of the Carnelian Archive, where all the Fairlands chronicles are kept. The dust, the smell of leather, paper and history have been my faithful companions in this search, which is now over. It was something personal, yes. It has already been lost in time and in the silence of my relatives over the years, but I needed to know the truth. And the truth, like a polished diamond with countless faces, is not as simple as they imagined. There is no good or bad, but a mixture of the two whose balance maintains the Universe. Anyway, this is not the time to ramble. I think I should pick up the scattered fragments, hinted at in these flickr posts, and tell the whole story, though maybe not the whole truth, who knows....

I can be quite a Sci-Fi geek and so when I saw this tattoo from RedFish available at The Darkness Chamber Fair, I kinda squealed. But, what outfit could I wear? And then I remembered r2. The end hope in the top rocky mountain - the day is a adventure trip this a big cave among hard nature and natural view area this photo is a hdr shooting wide view - in south Kurdistan .

All other tasks were done mindlessly, because their focus, their only purpose, was to wait to hear something, anything

Overall it was a really great experience, the wait for the spot to be empty was incredibly worth it!
