Special:
- This first generation 2-door Coupé body Pony Car (1969-1974) was designed by Carl Cameron, built on the Chrysler E-platform (like the Plymouth Barracuda) and assembled in Hamtramck (Michigan) and in Los Angeles (California).
- Everything changed at Dodge (and all car manufacturers) when the 1973 oil crisis hit the United States. The government passed legislation (1972) requiring engines to have the ability to run on low lead or no lead gasoline. Government safety and emission regulations, and increasing insurance premiums meant the horsepower rating and size for all manufacturers was on the decline.
- Engine power was now rated in SAE net horsepower, meaning theoretical horsepower with all accessories in place.
- So this 2+2-seater fixed-head Hardtop Coupé was for now the last series Challenger, only available with two detuned V-8 engines.
- Dodge re-used the Challenger name again for its second generation Challenger from 1978 until 1983.
- They were available as this Hardtop Coupé and as 2-door Rallye Hardtop Coupé (replaced the R/T series in 1972) with a faux brake vent on the fenders and a shaker hood scoop (1972-1974: 16,437 units built).

Hey guys! I had so much fun creating this new crop top called the Hawk Cropped Tee. I drew some cute cartoon drawings which I hope you guys like. I also included some text options show on the ad above. There is a graphic tee texture HUD for single packs to change the text/image on the top. When we were discussing options for this year's autumn hiking adventure, it almost seemed like there was nothing left in northern Scandinavia that we all still wanted to explore. However, after some discussions, we realized that Finnish Lapland might be an interesting and convenient location for our regular autumn outdoor pursuits.
After conducting some research and planning, we narrowed our focus to Finland's northwest, bordering Sweden and Norway. More specifically, we honed in on the Käsivarsi Wilderness Area, which happens to be the second-largest wilderness area in Finland.

Käsivarsi is somewhat atypical for Finland due to its higher elevation (Finland's highest peak, Halti (1,324m), is located in its northern tip), rugged terrain, and limited wooded areas. This combination sounded particularly attractive to us because it meant we would hike across various types of landscapes, both on and off marked trails.
Our itinerary was as follows: Kilpisjärvi/Saana mountain -> Tshahkaljärvi lake -> Siktagurajohka river -> Meekonjärvi lake including trip to Pitsusköngäs waterfall -> Porojärvi lake including ascent of Saivaara cliff -> Guhturgurajávri/Termisjärvi lakes -> Ailakkajärvi lake -> Kilpisjärvi.

Good morning everyone. Just a single pic of a Great Blue Heron(Ardea herodias) taken at the pond across the street from the front yard. Once again I was testing or trying out the new lens.
The above was taken with the new 150-450mm zoom and the 1.4X teleconverter attached. Distance between me and the bird was all of 100 yards. Processing consisted of a crop of about 50%, adjustment to contrast and color levels and a slight noise reduction. And so you'll know...it was an overcast day in between showers. In hindsight I wish I had taken a couple of pictures with it raining to capture the rain drops hitting the water. My bad :-(
I also wish I had used the 10 second delay shutter release like I do when taking pics of the moon. Or at least the 2 second delay or even better, the mirror up option. No doubt it would have improved clarity of the bird since the minor "flutter" or vibration caused by the mirror opening and closing is maximized with a long lens when photographing something at a very long distance.
