I picked Riverbank State Park for my vantage point and was rewarded with three close flyby oppurtunity and the Shuttle turned on final approach to JFK right over my head. I was jumping and shouting like and 8 Year old: IT FLEW OVER MY HOUSE!

This male Sparrowhawk perched up in the Prunus Niger at the back of our garden for 10 - 15 mins for a rest and a preen. I t was a great photo oppurtunity but a couldn't open a window and risk driving him away, so had to snap my pics through double glazing.

The Education Department is selling off an old primary school. Pity they were unable to proof read the 'For sale' board beforehand...

Hung out with some cowboys Kade and Nate this last week. Had some good times and got some sick pics. Rodeos are tons of fun if you've never had the oppurtunity to hit one up.

Picked a bad tree ta spend the day in. Couldn't resist a macro oppurtunity, so up I went. After a few pics I noticed he was shaking real bad and thats when I noticed the nasty gashes on his left side hand and foot, poor lil guy got into it with something recently so I let him be with the admonition ta find a better tree ta crash in the future.

Today I had the oppurtunity to shoot a band while they where recording a demo in our studio. It was a fun shoot and I acyually felt that I learnt a lot. The light was evil, so I had to resort to B&W processing, but I really love how they came out. Still think there’s a lot I should’ve done and shot, but for a first time I’m quite pleased with the results. So was the band ;-)

Whilst on a day visit to Llanferres, I took the oppurtunity to take some amazing pictures of aircraft.

As photographers, the Rands have seen the school sports photo business dissapear with the cancellation of classes and afterschool sports. Morning of 11 November, -9Deg C

I guess I am back to reality after couple of hours drive to a bone dry scenery down in Souther Alberta yesterday. Typically in the last several weeks I have been scrabbling to prepping up my Cycling gear for 100K bike ride but today, I had to totally abandon that idea instead went for a short walk for some photo oppurtunity.

This is scene infront of our place.

A cherished project of mine to capture and document the life by the gigantic river Brahmaputra that enters India in the north-eastern frontier state of Arunachal, travels through Assam and has its confluence with the ocean in Bengal.

I have been having discussions with quite a few eminent who have been born an brought up on the banks of this river. I have just started the project as I my work has started taking me to Dibrugarh University where I have become a catalyst to empower the youth of Assam. It is a blessing.

First of the dancers who have been kind to participate are two students, Sattriya dancers, from centre of performing arts at DU - Bhagyashree Senapati and Purasmita Bordoloi; Also I had an oppurtunity to capture.a bunch of youth who do their physical training on the banks of Brahmaputra, The fishermen's village that lives on Brahmaputra

This is a photo i took whilst i was out in bangladesh, im not a photographer by a long stretch..but i took this one because this child, Shima, is truly beautiful and her innocence was so much in everything she did.

What made me sad more than anything was that her life was already mapped out for her by the pathetic economics of this world, globalisation and its unfair trade laws.

It saddened me even more so because my little sister her age already had so many choices so many oppurtunities that this child didnt- children like Shima cannot be forgotten.
