While on my trip to visit Stonehenge, Salisbury is just down the road. So I took the oppurtunity to pay a visit. I would recommend the ecellent park & ride bus serveice, which drtops you right in the heart of the city.
Taken at the start of the womens tour 2014 in Oundle, Unfortunatley (or fortunatly dependant of your view point) I got stuck in a traffic jam due to the rolling road closures for 20min, so took the oppurtunity to grab the camera and get some shots as they passed by

"Volunteering abroad has been something heavy on my heart for a few years now, and I am finally in a position where I will have free time in the summers and wanted to jump on the oppurtunity to give back. I always knew I wanted my first trip to be to Africa, and I chose Ghana because I have friends in Ghana and would love to help people in their country".

The furred being is Moses, another of my friend's cats, who enjoys being outside but isn't allowed to for his own safety. So instead of letting him wander around, he gets the special treatment of being walked each day like a dog.
This was my first time tagging along and I saw a great oppurtunity for a pic, which turned out fantastic as anyone but you reading this can see. Anyway, right after taking Nex off Moses' back he decided to go for a swim. Literally, he just jumped in the pond. We recorded it too and it's genuinely hilarious.
Typical British sumer weather on a beach. A wee bit of sunshine followed by a torrential downpour and a howling gale blowing in off the sea provided good weather oppurtunities for those daft enough to try kite surfing.

Alicia & I jumped on the oppurtunity to have a one-on-one encounter with two tiger cubs at the Wildlife Reserve in St Augustine. It was awesome. We can now scratch that off the "bucket list".
Chinese delegates representing universities in China came to visit Macquarie University. This was a fantastic oppurtunity to learn what sustainable intiatives are being undertaken and to exchange knowledge.

I have sold my house therefor also my garden.
Now I am searching for a new house where I can start a new garden. Its sad but not as sad as I imagined it to be. My sons well beeing overshadows all. Soon we will have a new home, a new place to start over. I think it is the best that has happened to us in many years.
I will miss my garden. But the new owner wants me to take with me all my plants because he dont se how he can manage it. I couldnt be moore happy. ;-D I have started digging up. But of course winter came and interupted me. But winter here is not that long or not that cold, so I think I will have many oppurtunities to dig .
I am very tired now. But in this prosess I found inner strength I didnt know I posessed.
I am looking forward to the future.

This year Help-Portrait Las Vegas partnered with the U.S. Vets center in downtown Las Vegas to work with homeless veterans on the path to recovery to
capture their portraits and share their stories. These are some of my favorites from the day.

I picked Riverbank State Park for my vantage point and was rewarded with three close flyby oppurtunity and the Shuttle turned on final approach to JFK right over my head. I was jumping and shouting like and 8 Year old: IT FLEW OVER MY HOUSE!
Oriolus xanthornus, photographed in Kanha NP, the dead saal trees (unfortunately due to saal borer problem) provide great photographing oppurtunity in the park an otherwise impossible task in the dense jungle.( processed poorly, will post a better picture later)

Trey's shoe came off and i used this as an oppurtunity to teach Trey
the word "shoe", which i think he knew already because I told him
"Trey go get your shoe" and he ran to get it.
Kiran decided to help me put Trey's shoe on. On one of the pictures
she was smelling them and said "stinky shoes", which is a game we
play. Stinky toes and stinky shoes is a favorite.
Oh how good is to work with kids!!! :) ..... Everyday I see them grow
and change so much....

I have wanted to try to photograph lightning for a long time but have not had a good oppurtunity until last night. I have finaly accomplished capturing the actual lightning bolt. Now I need to work on getting the right background with the right lighting and etc..
No, she wasn't so rude as to exclaim this highly amusing phrase, but she did kind of forcefully wiggle her way in. I moved out of her way so she could get whatever shots she wanted, seeing as how I knew I'd have plenty more {lost} oppurtunity.
I don't think she realized what she did in her excitement, and I don't really hold it against her. And no, I'm not being naive and childish by blindly believeing everyone is just Godly.
Although, that might be the right way to go - not Godly, but innocent.

Traditional mudwalking (wadlopen) with group internationals near Pieterburen in Groningen. Not everybody seemed to enjoy it though. The strugling circumstances and golden oppurtunity lead to this funny snapshot of a 'stolen moment'. I like it how nobody was actually paying attention to the photographer (at the same time guaranteeing anonimity). The staff made me think of lords of the rings.

Madingley Hall, Cambridgeshire, 2 Apr 2015
Madingley Hall was built by Sir John Hynde in 1543 and occupied as a residence by his descendants until the 1860s. It is surrounded by parkland. Queen Victoria rented the Hall in 1860 for her son Edward (the future King Edward VII) to live in while he was an undergraduate at Cambridge University. The family sold the Hall in 1871.
The Hall and its surrounding park and farmland have been owned by the University of Cambridge since 1948 and is currently the home of the Institute of Continuing Education.
The earliest recorded image of the gardens is an engraving dating from 1705, showing a formal, Dutch-style garden to the north and east of the Hall. This formal style soon fell victim to the prevailing trend for naturalistic parkland, however, and in 1756, Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown was employed to create fashionable, modern gardens. The Yew Topiary Gardens were added in 1927.
I did not know whether it was open to the public, so when I saw an advert for an Open Day I seized the oppurtunity.
